A sneak peak at my ESK war novel:
"This little helicopter won't last much longer, Sir!" I shouted to Pound Foolish. "We've gotta land somewhere. And fast." he replied. "But there's nowhere to land! The E. S. K. burned all of our land." Underseasie glanced at the ground below. "Look-- we might be able to land there." she said, pointing to a little patch of dead grass. "It'll be a tight fit, and chopper will get burned when the fire reaches there, but it's all we've got. Let's go." Mara, the pilot, leaned forward as the copter swooped down and landed.
We ran- no, stumbled- out of the chopper. I yelled into the walkie-talkie, "GratiaDei! How is it at HQ number two?" "The Headquaters is under attack here, too!" Came the response. I tossed the Walkie to Pound Foolish. "Sir..." I began. Suddenly, Mara pointed to the sky. "Guys. We better run..." She said. "Uh-oh..." said Underseasie, struggling to be heard over the loud metal music. A fighter jet, painted with the word 'Megadeth' on it. "So why are we just standing here? Go! GO!" exclaimed Pound Foolish. So, we turned go to help at HQ number two. On foot.

Good job, Shnoodlec. I enjoyed it so far. Thanks for the fun little contribution to ERK. (Do I get to have my own field of daisies full of ML Ponies?)

Members and sworn enemies alike have complained repeatedly that our anthem glorifies Emily too much in a God-like fashion. Naturally, that is not the intent of the obviously melodramatically humorous writing, and I even amended it to have us saluting Emily rather than bowing to her.
However, it seems some of you still earnestly feel that's not enough? (*whiny little boy voice* I did give you all a chance to write a new anthem instead.)
Anyhoo, thoughts? Any amendments that should still be made?
Oh, annnd I came up with an alternative song in case...
