This is my two thousandth post. That makes me a dedicated Soda Shopper. A master of debate, a good friend to my fellow SSers, and a tireless AIO fan... Or does it just make me a time wasting wacko addict with nothing to do?
Anyhow, it was only fitting to make this post in ERK.
And, if I may, just for a moment, I'd like actually get serious. No, seriously, I seriously mean I'm going to be serious.
I love Emily.
Duh? Well, yeah. True. Everyone knows I love Emily. But sometimes, it hits me. It really is a fact. Sure, I goof around about it, and it's mostly a joke on here. But it's true. I love her. A lot. In defending her, in thinking about her, in caring about her, I grow closer to her. For that is what makes a friendship. I stand by her when ther other kids think she's no fun. I stick with her. I share her interests. Books, a love of logic and debating, a temper, a need for companionship, outspokenness... I keep discovering more and more things I have in common with her.
And in paying attention to her, wanting her, just being with her, I discover layer after layer of her soul. And it's a beautiful soul, that I am privileged to see.
I had no idea what I was getting into when I made an innocent little comment. "I'm a bit sad as I find that so many AIO Soda Shop Board Members look down on Emily." If I had known it would lead to spending hours of my life talking about her, would I have said it?
Yes.
Because we have a relationship. I adore fictional characters. Though I adore my real freinds, fictional characters are some of the best a fella can have. And as such friends go, now, she's like a sister. A sister who speaks her mind, I enjoy hanging out with, who makes me laugh.
You're a good sister, Emily.
Thank you.
And thank you, ERK. You guys keep me going. You guys remind me that other people care. And that's great.

Ummmm... I'm not sure what I think about that. I love Emily and everything "Emily," but I don't know that that is my favorite picture...
That picture of Emily is kinda reminding me of the Dairy Queen characters:

I said kinda! I feel as if there might be a closer match to what I'm thinking, but I can't pin point it right now.

edit: I thought of something else...

Maybe a bit of an exaggeration... I bit! lol
