Who else on the SS is a fan of the Inspector Gadget franchise? (For all those who are, this is a place to talk about anything Inspector Gadget)

You know. The clumsy, bumbling detective with an endless array of gadgets. It's on Netflix in US, Boomerang in other countries, or Teletoon in Canada. It's a great show.

Pretty good cartoons. Kind of kiddish, but well timed slapstick with a very cool villain. Imaginative concept using the half-robot trope for comedy. Also cool to see a brainy techno girl character, where else do you see that in 80s cartoons? Heck, how often do you see it in cartoons or films of any kind? Big Hiro 6 is a rare exception, name another! Not the best cartoons or anything, but good stuff, (especially for the 80s. Yuck.)
The new netflix cartoons are very satisfying, really good reboot. The only problem is while the goofier Dr. Claw is sometimes funny (and sometimes painfully unfunny) it really shows how much the threatening orginal Dr. Claw added. They're very silly cartoons and that one bit of seriousness provided some little sense of urgency and a contrast that made the extremely goofy material more funny.
