Yeah, I finally succumbed to it... Anyway, I was wondering who else here is addicted to anime, and what are your favorite shows?
I'm on episode 30 something of Dragon Balls in three days. :anxious:

Basically Japanese cartoon series. Along those lines.

And I don't watch much tv. I watch them on youtube.

I LOVE anime! Anime is my life. xD

I haven't watched a ton of tv shows (though, Attack on Titans and Sword Art Online are on my list), but I really enjoy Studio Ghibli movie. My favorites are Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. ^.^ #nerd

Sailor Moon is my top favorite-saw the whole thing. I also recommend the Ghibli films too, Blitz. :)

I just started attack of the titans. It is amazing! I've watched about three anime series now. Deathnote is freaking cool.

I personally thought Naruto was the coolest anime ever (though I have seen very little of it). Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit is pretty cool, as is Fate/Zero. But of course, you haven't seen REAL anime until you watch Star Blazers. Just sayin'. ;)

My friend told me about a new anime called "One Punch Man." It's apparently a comedy. I'm planning on starting that next week.

Right now I'm in Full-metal Alchemist and looking for my next anime series. I'll probably be going with Naruto.

Does Avatar the Last Airbender count as an Anime?

If it does, I'm actually watching my first Anime and I like it. :)

If not, then I've never seen any. :P

No; both Avatar and Legend of Korra originated in the West and were animated by Korean studios. The art direction was influenced by anime, but to be anime a cartoon has to originate and be produced in Japan.

I'm not really into anime, owing largely to the number of people I've encountered who seem to think that anime-style art is the holy grail of all art and that one can somehow improve in things like anatomy and the human figure by only drawing manga, but I've seen a couple of episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood, not the 2003 version) and it seems like a really solid show. It's certainly not as intimidating to get into as Naruto, which has an episode count that ranges somewhere between like 600 and eleventy zillion.
it's not about 'deserve'. it's about what you believe. and i believe in love

Well Naruto is like Dragon Ball. A great deal of seasons and stuff you can skip really. Fullmetal is one of the best anime designs I've seen. Its actually quite unique.

My avatar should be a dead giveaway as to my favorite anime/manga.

Others I've seen and liked:

Kino's Journey (definitely check this one out, even if you don't like or don't know what anime is)

Attack on Titan (just the manga, one of the most intense stories I've read)

Arpeggio of Blue Steel (manga, very interesting naval sci-fi)

Naruto (terrible MCs, great supporting cast/fights, gets interesting when they have kids)

Fate/Zero

Moribito (another great anime, though kinda slow)

Rurouni Kenshin (Japanese 1860s historical fiction, interesting but drags towards the end)

Biomega (very dark Japanese niche sci-fi, pretty "adult" but worth the trip, manga only)

SECRET TUNNEL! SECRET TUNNEL! THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS!

SECRET SECRET SECRET SECRET TUNNEL! YAH.

In other news, my one roommate spoiled a big part of one of the episodes of season 2. :x

(Of Avatar TLA. Though I know it isn't quite anime it still sort of counts for this topic.)

I've watch a couple of anime my friend introduced me to, in addition to a few I decided to watch myself. These include:

Nichijou. This was my first anime, and I really enjoyed its over exaggeration of everyday interactions.

Tari Tari. I don't remember this one incredibly well, but overall it was good, with some very touching moments.

Fairy Tail. This is by far the longest anime I've watched, and it's still so much shorter than One Piece or Naruto. It's quality can vary a lot, but I really enjoy fantasy, so usually it's worth it.

Sword Art Online. I loved the premise and first arc of Sword Art Online, but it has some annoying tendencies, and immediately launches into a horrible second arc. :(

Yona of the Dawn. This is the one I've most recently watched, and I really enjoyed it overall. Yona starts the season as a spoiled princess who's literally almost never ventured outside of the castle walls, and eventually matures into a compassionate woman who goes to great lengths to protect the people around her.

Well, I used to be super into Pokemon and watched the anime.

And then I got older and realized how incredibly stupid it was.

So that's that, I guess.
