The 5th will be the happiest day of the year so far.

I was looking at the 2 part episode called "Cutie Markless." I'm REALLY excited for it. :) I'm thinking about waiting til the 2nd part comes out, so I don't have to wait after watching the first.

Where will y'all watch the episodes?

Guesss what people? With Season 5 only a few days away, Discovery Family has officially announced MLP Season 6:

From the Discovery Website:
MY LITTLE PONY FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC SEASON 6

In the magical land of Equestria, the studious young unicorn Princess Twilight Sparkle lives in the village of Ponyville where she and her five pony friends teach one another about the most powerful magic of all – the magic of friendship

Awesome!

Say, where is a good place to watch the new season, Rosy? You don't get TV as neither do I, so is there a live stream on Discover's site or some such?

Wait, isn't that illegal?

Very tricky question you have there, Wakko. The bottom line at the moment is that it is likely not illegal to watch, or to link to the stream. But, it is a misdemeanor to upload copyrighted material. It is also an issue if you download it, but streaming, for the time being, is not probably at risk.

But as you can see in the related links, this may change. http://thehill.com/policy/technology/22 ... e-a-felony There are currently efforts to make it illegal. Right now, it stays squarely in the realm of grey area.

Streaming is really just downloading the file to a temporary location and deleting it after it's done if I remember correctly.

Wellll I do get cable TV but I'm never at home when the episodes air, so yes, most of the time I watch them on Youtube, though I try to buy the Seasons through Google Play when I get the money. The episodes used to be put up on the Hub's website to watch for free, but since Discovery took over I haven't seen anything like that.

Oo! Why did I never reply to this? =P
Funny story though, the day of the premiere, I was supposed to go out and work at our store, but my mom let me stay home for a few hours to take care of some stuff, and it wasn't until around 3 minutes after the episode had ended that I realized what day it was. :( (Though I had set up our TV to record it, so I got to watch it eventually)
Annnyways, my thoughts:
{SPOILERS}
Though it was much less climatic than other two-parters, I really enjoyed it. Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Apple Jack's un-cutie marked selves were hilarious, and the new characters were great as well, especially Party Favor. Fluttershy and Twilight were amazing as always. The whole "villain who doesn't follow their own philosophy" plot was kinda predictable, but I wasn't really expecting Starlight to have a different cutie mark, rather that the equal sign was her natural cutie mark. Though it also seemed a little odd that all the ponies in the town would abandon their lifestyle because one pony didn't conform, but I'm guessing this was just for the ease and simplicity of the episode. The cutie mark map is a good idea, if it means that we'll get to see the Mane 6 (and hopefully Spike) travel all over Equestria, so I really hope it doesn't just disappear until the season finale, when I'm guessing Starlight will return.

Now the third episode was amazing as well:
I really liked how it didn't take long for Twilight's friends to realize that they'd made a mistake and that their decorations were more for them than for Twilight. Spike was adorable but I'm not terribly pleased that the writers felt the need to use his crush on Rarity as motivation for helping the Mane 5, as I'm certain that he would have been willing to help if AJ or Fluttershy asked him. But all in all, it was a sweet episode and I'll admit I teared up a little bit at the library scene.
And I'm glad you're enjoying the show, Samer! =) Do you have a favorite pony yet?

One more thing, I got a decal for my laptop today:

Hmm.... Hard to choose so soon. I'm leaning towards Rainbow Dash though. ;) Who is your favorite?

I loved the 2 parter! I was surprised they went in that direction.

I LOVE BIG MAC. He rocks. I also like Twilight.

Does Curious George count as a guilty pleasure kid's show? I don't watch it but I quote it to my best friend semi-frequently... :P

I'm not sure why this topic is entitled "Guilty Pleasure Kid's Shows" as that would indicate some level of guilt over watching them. ;) But on a purely technical standpoint, I'd say yes, that counts.

Yes. ;)

For MLP fans:
This is a super cute animation covering Seasons 1-4.

I loved when Princess Celestia gave Twilight her wings. :D

I watched a parody of MLP called "Friendship is Witchcraft". It's not for everyone, BUT THEY ARE HILARIOUS!
