The Bookshelf
A friend is letting me borrow Divergent, and so far it's really fascinating.

\o/ YAY!
Sorry, I just loooooove that book xD Although I suggest running away while you can....Allegiant will kill you...and most of the characters. xD (Allegiant is the third and last book, BTW.)
I just finished reading The Hate List by Jennifer Brown. Very thought provoking. It's about a school shooting, so it's not a happy book, but I still enjoyed it.

An owl and a squirrel are sitting in a tree, watching a farmer go by. The owl turns to the squirrel and says nothing, because owls can't talk. The owl then eats the squirrel because it is a bird of prey.
I'm reading Chosen by Ted Dekker. I wasn't sure about it at first, but it's getting un-put-downable.

I read that book because of the Triangle. I'd never heard of GK Chesterton before that ep.GratiaDei wrote:I am reading The Man Who Was Thursday. All I can think of is the Triangle.

YOU JUST DESCRIBED MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. I actually just lent one of her books to my friend. I love her books so much!!!Helios wrote:Look for Margaret Peterson Haddix...she's wonderful!
Has anyone read any books by Scott David Westerfeild? The Uglies "trilogy" (which actually has FOUR books, long story.... wait, actually five, if you count "Bogus to Bubbly"...), perhaps?

Same here! All the deaths in the book made me sad...The Bat Girl wrote:Did you cry when Al died? I was so close to.Mara wrote:I finished Divergent a few days ago. It was fantastic. I would highly recommend it.

I just finished the book Eyes Wide Open by Ted Dekker.
(Actually, I finished it Sunday evening, after receiving it in a book exchange Sunday afternoon)
It was the first Ted Dekker book I read...and very interesting...

I finished Treasure Island (again) and Macbeth a few days ago. Hmm...now I'm wishing Shakespeare hadn't killed of Macduff's family or young Siward.

My humanities class read that a few months ago and we got to act it out. It was pretty fun! I just started reading The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell and Amish Vampires in Space by Kerry Nietz.

But it was so good, I did not cry at the sad ending but at the fact that the book was over.

I'm reading "Graceful (For Young Women)" by Emily P. Freeman. So far it's pretty good.
