I go to a private school. I was home schooled in pre school and my parents asked me in 1st grade about home schooling. But i've gone to that awesome private school for a long time..

I've never been private schooled. I'd imagine it would be right between public school and homeschool.

I am homeschooled and have been since 5th grade. Our local middle school did un-Christian things, so my mom was planning on taking me out for 6th grade, but by the end of 4th grade, things had gotten so bad for me ( I was to shy to make any new friends, and the ones I had, who weren't really my friends, were teasing me, using me, ect.) that I begged my mom to let me homeschool. It is a great improvement, an now I am a whole lot less shy than I was in public school. Go figure.

I'm not sure what all this talk about a social life is. If you don't have one, you need to talk to your parents. I mean it. It's that big of a deal. It's not something that should be shrugged off because your parents are okay with it and you are used to it. That is exactly what people always say when they want to be negative about home-schoolers. If we want to look good, we need to prove them wrong. A failure to interact with others will almost certainly cause social ineptness in the workplace and in general social situations. Which is a pretty good way to get fired, and a pretty bad way to make friends. I'm home-schooled, and I have a social life. Don't you guys do ANYTHING outside of the house? My best friend is a girl I met at a sports group.
Enjoyable post, TS. I read it all. Aren't you proud of me? I agree that the homeschooling episode proved to be inoffensive. And, yes, homeschooling is a gazillion times better than going to a school where you have a super good chance of getting a teacher who doesn't care, trying to keep up with public schools ridiculous pace, putting up with all the rotten kids there, having your parents shrug off the troubles with it and just make you keep going, and ending up with an inferior education for your pains. But not an effortless walk in the park. If I have offended anyone with my post, I apologize in advance. :)

I have been homeschooled ever since kindergarten and I am about 99.9% sure that I'll be homeschooled until I graduate from high-school...I'm very grateful to my parents for all their patience with me! :D
