Yikes, Kevin, that's a little sickening. The popcorn thing.

All I can confess to is my undying appreciation of Phineas and Ferb. And I have no guilt for that one, it's just well-written and very amusing.

As for robbing Gratia of her snack.... She can deal with it. :P

For me, it's just "Phineas and Ferb" and "Kim Possible". *sings Kim Possible theme song*

Ahhh-ugh. Talking about Phineas and Ferb in our lovely MLP topic? Since it does say, "and other guilty kid's pleasures" I was afraid of something like this.

Phineas and Ferb is okay. But the jokes are mainly only mildly good (though humor is subjective), and the characters are flagrantly shallow. Plus, there's just no getting past the animation. It's bland, and the designs of the characters are atrocious. They're downright ugly. It's annoying just to look at them. Whose brilliant idea was it to gives those guys pointy noses, big narrow pointy heads, and green hair?

MLP is diamonds. Phineas and Ferb is... not.

Now back to MLP. Nopony else has published any MLP youtube videos yet.

Well, sir, I find it slightly amusing that I tried to nicely ask about your confusing interest in MLP, and yet you feel the need to rain on our proverbial parade.

Pray tell, why is MLP such a "diamond?"

I take it you want more pony videos, PF? :P

Honestly, I'm not much for remixes, they seem to speed up the songs way too much, where it really isn't needed.

Except I do like this one:

Then, I've found some piano covers...I really want to learn some of these:

And I will add, yes, talking about other shows that don't have a topic, but fit under this heading is fine.

I don't care for Phineas and Ferb. They're very... repetitive... obviously. Once you've seen one, you've literally seen them all.

I liked all those, GG! I REALLY liked "A True, True Friend!"

I don't mind MLP song remixes, but I really love voice mash ups! :) Like so:

I actually like Phineas and Ferb, but mostly Perry. I also like Kim Possible (duh).

Umm, I don't mean to sound rude, but wasn't this question just asked, and answered by 3 other members?
I like MLP because it's fun, it has great animation, funny jokes, good stories, and relatable characters. That's pretty much all I can tell you, you'll have to see the rest for yourself. If you don't enjoy it, I understand. It's not everyone's "cup of tea" or something like that. But please don't feel the need to make fun of anyone who does, like other brony haters I've come arcoss.

I just meant to get Pound Foolish's opinion (hopefully a more condensed version)
I don't mean to sound like I'm hating on MLP, it sounds like quite an entertaining show, the concept of bronies just strikes me as rather unexpected in terms of 21st century stereotypes, kids these days, yada yada. And maybe I'm just trying to investigate on what appears to be a peculiar trend before I make any lasting judgements.

I'm still gagging. :P It's kind of odd, the way they kiss reminds me of the beautiful orange-haired guy from "Boys Over Flowers". *blissful sigh* That would be another guilty pleasure, I'm sure...

I liked Somepony to Watch Over Me! It was fun. It played out well. ;)

Ooh, one of my favorite subjects. Yay, I get to witness to a parasprite. (That's not anything bad. Well, it is, but it's just what bronies call non-bronies.)

1. I like it because it's weird to like it. Why deny it? It's about little girls made for little girls. But it's not wrong to like it, of course, just not what people expect. So, I get that silly yet good feeling of "rebelling" against convention without actually doing anything bad.

2. I mentioned the characters above already, but they are a huge reason. It's good to have a show around that uses the same characters completely consistently, instead of switching up all the time like AIO.

3. It's a genuinely entertaining show. Naturally, that's not true of quite everyone. Not everypony is going to like the same thing, and find it witty, like the characters, enjoy the stories, but this show has an incredible ability to appeal to people. I also have my own reason for being entertained. I'm a huge fantasy buff, so it's lovely to see a kid's show that uses magic so seriously and effectively. Not just as gag material but also for plot twists, eye candy and character development. Also, it often has clever, out of the blue plot twists at the end. Not many shows have that, for kids or adults.

So, what do you think? Want to check it out? Have you checked it out before? If so, then you may want to give it another. As this topic shows, it sometimes takes several tries. but then you're hooked and happy for life.

*shakes head sagely*

Poundy, if Panda is anything like me, then she's going to hate it even after she tries it. :P I watched that one video you put on my thread and just about tossed my cookies.

*one hour later*

Having watched "Join the Herd", I must say.....

So? We've already stated several times that we hold nothing against anyone who dislikes it. But right now you're getting pretty close into Metal territory...(AKA "Death to all Bronies! MLP is so stupid! Anyone out of the target range who likes it is a disgrace to mankind and is a horrible, awful, disgusting person!")
I bet there is PLENTY of stuff you (and Metal) like that I wouldn't enjoy in a million years. But do you see me going on and on about it? Nope.

On the subject of "guilty pleasure kid's shows", I may or may not watch Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse from time to time...

Yikes, Seasie is quite the bitter female(AKA, queen of the straw-man arguments). I never said any of the things she claimed. But it sounds to me like you very much hold stuff against people who dislike it.

My opinion on the pictures:
Please don't make your avatar the first pic, GG. Both ponies seriously look like girls... O_O I think the artist could have done a better job portraying masculinity in the boy. However, in the other pics, it's much easier to tell which is a boy and which is a girl, which is always nice.

There are also a few other threads in which we have debated this very topic before. I'll admit I may be reading more into your posts than you mean, but when I read this:
Metal15 wrote:
Ever heard of bronies? You know, the huge fandom of adult men who adore My Little Pony?
That's bugged me for as long as I can remember. It's just disgraceful. :(
Saying someone liking something is disgraceful seems incredibly judgmental to me. You may not mean it that way, but that's how it comes out.
And since you don't seem to believe me, I'll say it again. I don't hold anything against you for not liking ponies. That's fine. I have several friends who don't like ponies as well. The problem for me starts when you say things like the above^.

Ah, yes. I'm a cliche bitter female. Yes, I quite often read more into what people say than normal people. For instance, I almost took that little quip to mean you were saying I'm the royalty being a pain in the neck who won't let stuff go. But since this is online, I have no real way of telling if someone is being serious, sarcastic, or joking when they make a comment like that.

Lol, I forgot about me calling out death. Yes, that must have been a joke, 'cause I don't want people dead. XD But you haven't referenced anything to me saying stuff along these lines: "MLP is so stupid! Anyone out of the target range who likes it is a horrible, awful, disgusting person!"

Liking something is fine. I'll admit it, I like Veggietales. However, the "bronies" I've witnessed(doesn't mean your experiences with bronies are the same) are CUH-RAZY obsessed with the stuff to the point of me becoming nigh-on physically sick. Especially the art. Most of what I've seen pony-art-wise is very VERY explicit. *Shivers*
For instance, I almost took that little quip to mean you were saying I'm the royalty being a pain in the neck who won't let stuff go.
You ALMOST took it correctly. :D It would be nice if you let it go instead of bringing my name up over and over(I let the first time go, since I was in a good mood), labeling me as something bad. I mean geez, give it a rest, I'd recommend creating a "Metal bashing" thread for that. If you don't label me, I won't have a reason to label you. :)
