An Annual Celebration of Odyssey Fandom
Each year, Adventures in
Odyssey fans are given an opportunity to
showcase their collections in the most fun
and creative display they can. The prize:
Adventures in Odyssey, of course!
In each
ScoopYourself challenge, visitors have the opportunity to
utilize a camera, props, lighting—and their
Adventures in Odyssey collections—and
create a unique display. From March 1-April
30, 2014, we allowed fans the opportunity to
do just that.
How We Judge Entries
The best part about
ScoopYourself is that our team of four judges base
their decisions on quality of the display, not quantity. While it
may be easier for a fan with many Adventures in Odyssey items to
participate, those with smaller collections do not need to feel
alienated if their contest entry focuses on creativity. We've seen
collections large and small win over the years. To us, creativity
is the biggest factor when judging entries. Use of lighting, props, and
camera angles aid in helping us decide, too. Ultimately, we're looking
for photos that are a cut above the rest, and we look for the "wow"
factor when choosing our favorites.
