Another
new episode, The Girl in the Sink [#540],
airs on radio stations across the country. I'll be posting a
review on the 'net as soon as possible and catching up on my
previous reviews. When Tamika wonders if angels still help
people, Bernard Walton tells her a story...about Bernard!
Be sure and
Listen at Oneplace if you have not heard it yet.

I'm off! To Chicago, that is. I'll be visiting my dear sister
who is attending a Christian college there. It should be pretty
interesting and you have nothing to worry about, for, daily
updates will continue and the site resumes without me. Just keep
checking back and it'll seem like I haven't even left. I'll be
back Tuesday. I'll have access to a computer of sorts, so you
know.

Going off of what I added yesterday, I added a new page for
convenience. It's called
Reviews by Fans and contains a more organized way of getting
to the fans' reviews. Be sure to check it, as well as
yesterday's update, out!

The 'Fan Reviews' section has officially been removed from the
website. It was a long process and decision in the making, but
it had to be done. However, none of the reviews have been lost.
Instead they have been revamped and moved to better locations
throughout the website. If you take a look at the
Episodes
section, you'll notice that the following button is prominent:

This measure, I feel, was long-needed as the site is more
organized now. On each episode slot, there is a new "Fan
Reviews" link which corresponds with the episode. The link will
take you to a page of reviews only on that episode. If you were
a reviewer, don't get upset because now your reviews are still
around and they better suit the needs of the site. I feel that
this will further allow more fan reviewing. For example, if you
take a look at the
episode information for "Called On in Class," you'll see a
link for 'Fan Reviews'
(click this link now) and you'll see a more organized page. I
hope you like it. This is that big secret I was keeping since
about a week ago. You'll also notice that there is a "Review
This Episode" link at the left on this page under the "Airing
Today" box. If you reviewed an episode between now and a long
time ago, your review is up.

Well, today I got motivated and decided to update the
Fan List with nine names. If you signed it way back when,
your name is now on it. Otherwise, either your name has been on
it or has never been on it. If you haven't signed the Fan List
yet, then why not today? I plan on catching up on a few things
later this week as well. It looks like a wave of motivation has
hit me, meaning more updates!
Sunday, February 22, 2004
Remember how I noticed that there was a little problem with the
Fan List the other day? Well I've gone ahead and fixed it,
along with the "Sign the Fan List" page. If you haven't signed
yet, this is a prime time!

Today's
episode, Called On in Class [#539],
airs on radio stations across the country! Trent DeWhite has
to give his oral report in class...and the mayhem he imagines is
earth-shattering. Head on over to
Oneplace
and listen to this week's show! This week's review is already up
as of this morning.
Called On in Class
*****
"I sat down for a very long half hour of mindless
rambling, poorly-planned drama, and incessant imaginings
that could drive one crazy."

I just noticed that the Fan List
has been up for a while, but has looked ugly for a while.
Apparently, in the loss of files a while back, I lost the
template I created for the Fan List and now it seems to have
disappeared. The background is still purple and everything but
something doesn't look quite right. Oops. I'll try and fix that
as soon as possible, and if your name has not been posted yet,
I've still got it on hold. Grrr... when technology and stupid
mistakes mix...

After a few months of ignoring faithful updates,
AIOinfo
has finally boosted up to the new season. The webmaster has
filled us in on new episodes for the season, changed some stuff,
and made it worth checking out again.
And by the way, I updated the responses to our current
forum.

It's Monday, it's Presidents Day, and I have no school. I
imagine a lot of people are happy like I am today. Be sure to
check back later this week for some new reviews, and maybe even
something else if I'm feeling up to posting it. I won't mention
what it is as I would like to keep it a surprise. After all,
"anything can happen" on Adventures in Odyssey, and
that's what I would like to instill here.

Guess
what's happening today? Stubborn Streaks [#538]
airs on radio stations across the country!
Can there be anything worse than telling Bernard Walton that his
windows aren't clean? Why is he losing his customers? The answer
may shock even Bernard himself. It's definitely worth taking
the time to
listen.
Also today you may want to check out the
Official Site because it's slowly releasing some redesigns.
Today they've released a new design to the Imagination Station
section.

Remember
the Novacom Saga? I never really remembered it
this way, but somehow... I did. Be sure and see for
yourself. You'll be laughing the whole way through. "The
Abbreviated Novacom Saga" is quite an interesting new shortcut
through the first two episodes of the story arc. Will they go
through the rest?

The
Focus on the Family Radio Theatre wonder continues to add
great works to its collection. Coming soon from the
award-winning series is "Little Women," as well as "The Luke
Reports 4." I have heard the three previous "Luke Reports" in
the series and have been very pleased with them. It not only
helps to put the story of Luke into a more interesting
perspective, it also helps to strengthen your faith. I am
anticipating the release of "Little Women," and we'll see how
that episode plays out. I will continue to keep you informed
about the Radio Theatre
series as it has been a favorite of mine since its beginning in
1995. Hopefully you'll check the dramas out if you haven't
already. The sound design of each title surpasses the
thoroughness of Adventures in Odyssey's quality, by far.
Both are great.

The
Spring Season continues to progress as My Girl Hallie [#537]
airs today around the country. According to the official
summary, "Kids' Radio presents
another episode of "The Twilife Zone!" And this time it's about
a boy named Joey Patrick and his unusual friendship with...his
computer." It looks to be real interesting. A few months back
there was a vote on two possible endings at the
Official Site. Find out, as you listen to today's show,
which ending won!
My review may appear here later today, so stop in later in the
day.

Finally, the Polls & Forums
section is updated with a new "Forums Weekly," as well as the
responses that have been collecting up have been posted. Be sure
to submit your opinion on the new one.
In regards to the "Forum Awards" that we held so long ago, I
plan on working on those sometime soon, not for the sake of
getting it done, but for another reason which I will announce
later.

It's
been a while since we've had a healthy checkup on the AIO team
and what's going on behind the scenes. The
Official Site has released an interview with Marshal
Younger, featuring some insider information in regards to future
episodes. According to Marshal, after the Spring Season 2004,
"...there will be a special "Last Chance Detectives" summer: 12
shows in a row about four young detectives who solve mysteries
in the Arizona desert. The twelve shows were produced by the
Adventures in Odyssey team. The first four feature Jason
Whittaker from Odyssey fame. We're very excited about the
project." I'm looking forward to seeing what it's about, yet a
little worried that it won't go so well. I'll post more
information as it becomes available.

This
exciting news has been brought to my attention. The "New Series"
of AIO videos have finally been repackaged into more interesting
DVD versions. The first four titles in the series have been DVD-ized,
so to speak, and will be available in February 2004. In case you
also didn't already know, the old series episodes can now be
found on DVD as well, however not all of the DVD's have been
released yet.

It's time to get the ball rolling again. Last month I totally
failed to put up a new Poll for the month. I also failed to
update the "Forums Weekly" feature (located below, at the left).
Tomorrow or Tuesday I should have a new poll ready. Keep
checking in.

Living in the Gray
*****
"It looks like they [AIO] did a good job,
considering the cliffhanger I was left to hang on..."

Here's some news you can use. Today be sure to stop by OnePlace
if you haven't heard Living in the Gray II [#536]
yet. It's definitely worth the time. Also
The Soda Fountain has posted its review of today's episode.
