Official Podcast #59
So today is the last day of the
year (already) and there's no better way to go out with a bang
than to listen to a new installment of the
Official Podcast.
This time they feature their "Top Ten Musical Countdown
Extravaganza" which highlights the ten best songs on AIO over
the years. You'll even hear a new one as well!
It's also worth mentioning that
with the new year, I would like to get some things up to date,
such as the our Links page. It seems as
though some new podcasts have popped up lately and I'd like to
boost traffic to those sites. Also I'd like to get these daily
updates archived. The last time I archived was at the beginning
of October. Where does the time go?
By the way, happy new year! Stay
safe. Stay warm.

Christmas Eve
Christmas is already tomorrow! I
hope you are all ready for the big day and excited to celebrate
the birth of Christ. In honor of Christmas, I would recommend
you listen to the episode
Unto Us a Child Is
Born today. It's one of my favorite AIO Christmas episodes
of all time. And what better day to listen to it? Don't count on
an update tomorrow as I will be celebrating with family. You
think I'd be on the internet on Christmas Day? How boring! Let's
ring some bells! Let's celebrate! Jesus was born! Otherwise, we
wouldn't have the Savior!

The Odyssey Scoop Turns Eight!
I
can't believe it's been another year here at the Odyssey Scoop!
On December 22, 2000, a small idea became the very small
beginnings of the Scoop. And now, eight years later, it has
become a huge website with tons of information, poems, articles,
audio, reviews, photos, interviews, and much more. Thank you
everyone for your continued visits to the site. Without your
participation over the years, this site would have died a long
time ago. Happy eighth birthday to the Odyssey Scoop!

A Slow Spell
It looks like we're going through
a slow spell with AIO news these days. The only news I've heard
lately is that Focus on the Family Radio Theatre will be
producing C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. Our very own
Gollum from Lord of the Rings will be starring as the
devil. That's definitely something for us to look forward to.
Oh yes, and my semester is over. I
arrived home safely and I am enjoying the much-needed break. It
was the craziest semester of my life and it feels as if I never
even went through it. If you're in college or went to college,
I'm sure you know the feeling quite well.

The Christmas Season
Well, I've been hanging on for
dear life all semester, and I've hit the end of that hanging on
for dear life status. Today was my last final exam. All art
projects are taken care of, all tests have been graded, and I'm
heading home via AirTran on Friday. In case you're wondering, my
advertising campaign presentation went extraordinarily well. I
made an A+ and even Best of Class! I totally wasn't
expecting it at all.
As for AIO news, I'm sure you'll
be hearing more in the days ahead. Keep visiting!

AIO iPod Giveaway
A
couple weeks ago, fans had the opportunity to vote on an
unreleased episode to be released on the
Official Podcast.
Today, the episode you all voted for is available! And the
episode is You Go to
School Where?
On a side note, my presentation
went really well. My teacher was smiling the entire time, so
that's promising! Stay tuned in the coming days for more AIO
news (not that this was or anything).

AIO iPod Giveaway
It looks like Focus on the Family
is throwing their second Christmas iPOD giveaway with Adventures in Odyssey.
They are once again giving out a free
iPod per day loaded up with the 16 Gold Audio Series
collections. The contest is running from December 1-12, and you
can enter for free.
Won't
you?
As for updates on my semester,
it's nearly over. I have a huge advertising campaign
presentation to give tomorrow, so pray for me if you get the
chance. It's been the roughest semester yet having taken four
art classes and two other normal classes. After that, I have two
projects left and finals beginning next Tuesday. After that...
home. Home. Yes, it will sink in once I'm at the airport that I
am heading home for Christmas.
