Official Podcast #48

The Official Podcast has released its 48th episode. It contains a bundle of special features, such as an interview with Sage Bolte, voice of Robyn Jacobs in the early days. You will certainly want to hear about her adventure in Odyssey. Not only that, you'll hear a funny story in Jonathan Crowe's life that turned out to be true! Don't miss the latest podcast where we'll always learn something from our friends at AIO.

Unofficial Podcast #46

Yesterday, the Unofficial Adventures in Odyssey Podcast released episode #46. This episode goes into a little of everything. They announce their contest winner, update us on some Odyssey news, and read the fans' letters. If you've been tuning into these special shows, you won't want to miss their latest installment.

Flash from the Past: Also, if you've been around the AIO online community for more than four years, you may remember the very first audio "podcast" for Adventures in Odyssey. It didn't claim to be a podcast since the term "podcast" wasn't popular yet, but it was a nice radio show run by two avid Odyssey fans. It was titled, appropriately enough, Odyssey Radio. The show died out after about a year and was later started up for a short time as OdysseyTalk. Just some in-the-know things for you long-time online visitors who may have forgotten about what fans did in the past! I have the original logo for it, but I just can't seem to find it in my backup. For now, we can latch onto the Unofficial Podcast!

New Episodes?

It seems like the news is just pouring in regarding our favorite radio show! I'm sure you're wondering how you're going to survive with no new episodes until Fall 2009. Wait with style! Focus on the Family has cooked up a new special release of AIO episodes to be included in a collection called The Truth Chronicles. This collection does not fit within the chronological series or even have the typical feel of episodes. Instead, morals are going to be presented more overtly than we're used to hearing. Album 51 is planned for a release in Fall 2009, but rest assured, this collection is not Album 51. To learn more, visit this link for a product summary, product closeups, and notes.

Adventures in Odyssey Birthday Bash

In less than a month, fans from across the country will be joining in one accord with the AIO team to celebrate 20 years of Adventures in Odyssey. On August 16th, a special live recording will commence at two different times of the day, and other festivities will allow fans to ring in the next 20 years of the show. Here is a special preview of the AIO promotional flyer for this event. Just give it a good click and you'll see a high-res image of it. And I do mean high-res. Feel free to print out this flyer (I've provided it in high resolution for that very reason) and post it in your church or wherever else you can legally post it. This image is very high-res (over three megabytes of resolution in fact!) It's certainly going to be an exciting celebration! Mark those calendars!

The Unofficial AIO Podcast

I'm sure many of you have become faithful listeners of the ever-growing Unofficial Adventures in Odyssey Podcast. They recently just released some exciting interviews with Katie Leigh, Marshal Younger, and others. It's interesting to point out that the podcast has been gaining popularity over the past year. Not only that, the Unofficial Podcast just released their new logo to the internet community. Yes, they have moved up in the world and their logo looks great! I count it a great blessing to be able to design the logos for these wonderful people. So as you try to survive this long hiatus from new episodes of Adventures in Odyssey, you may want to tune in every now and then for a more unofficial adventure in Odyssey.

Taking Care of Business

As of late, I've been taking care of some maintenance things here at the Scoop. You'll notice that the website now features a new navigation bar, which doesn't look that far off from the original that was used from 2002-2008, but it has a surprisingly timeless feel. Since we used the old navigation bar for about six years, it was a needed and welcomed change.

Also, thanks to a nice suggestion from Austin, I also brought back the site's search feature located at the top of the homepage. Eventually one day, the search will appear on all pages of the site. Until then, it's back.

Daily Updates Revisited

It's been a long time since we've done this at the Odyssey Scoop, but I think it's time to get the ball rolling again. Welcome back to what became a visitor's favorite feature of the site: daily updates. With this feature, I'd like to keep everyone informed on Scoop happenings, Adventures in Odyssey news, and more.

So pull up a chair at the Odyssey Scoop from day to day to rekindle what used to happen here at the Scoop. As always, if you're a newer visitor, this will be something you won't want to miss.
