AIOFreak
What is
your name? (Your real one)
A: Some people like to call me Little
J, some the all-popular AIOFreak, but my real name is a closely-guarded secret. If you
like, you can call me AREM. The only information I am able to release currently is my
first name, or else the mystery of the ever-intruiging AIO fanatic would be ruined
forever!
Okay, it's.......oops! ran out of
space! Maybe you'll find out next time.
What do you like most about
AIO?
Besides the fact that it's
one-of-a-kind and nothing has ever come out that is even close to this...I really like the
fact that although Adventures in Odyssey is a relatively small show (in comparison to
big-name TV shows, etc.) the staff still pays attention to EVERYTHING! It's not often that
somebody makes a show that is funny, dramatic, mysterious, AND Christian-based all at
once! The not-as-important aspect that interests me about AIO is the production quality.
Talk about attention to every millisecond!
What do you like least about
AIO?
Hmmm...that's a tough one. I would
say split episodes, but those are a thing of the past (thankfully!). Probably the fact
that they've never cast me as an AIO character! hehehe.... (so much ambition, so little
time :)
How long have you been a fan of
Adventures in Odyssey?
I listened to my first episode by
complete accident! About 7 years ago, I turned on the radio just after dinner, and I
thought to myself, "this is interesting". By the time the episode was finished,
I already had a letter to Chris just waiting to be mailed for my first ever Odyssey
cassette tape!
(in case you're wondering, the first
episode I ever heard was "Soaplessly Devoted")
What is your favorite
AIO website? Why?
Oh, the Odyssey Scoop of course!
(way to suck up to the interviewer, eh?) Actually, I probably like Switchflood's site the
most. Dan Shane, the guy who runs that place, is a terrific writer, and isn't afraid to
share his opinion. Great stuff!
If you could meet one actor or
actress on AIO, who would it be and why?
Ever since the character Clara
appeared in "Home Sweet Home", I've really wanted to meet Aria Curzon. No big
reason in particular, except I love her voice, (she can sing too, you know!), and I've
always wanted to meet a child actor whose already had a lot of experience.
Which character do you resemble the
most?
WHAT??? Well, it's probably a
toss-up between Alex Jefferson, Eugene Meltsner, and Mandy Straussburg. The first two
because I'm totally into computers and love web design and computer-manipulated graphics,
and Mandy because a) I tend to be a sensitive person, and b) I love writing!
Who is your favorite character?
DEFINITELY Eugene Meltsner. I know
he hasn't been around for a while though, so my current favorite character is probably
Nathanial Graham.
What do you think I need to change
about my website?
Make it easier to read. My eyes jump
around the screen all the time because there's so much going on at once.
If you had one wish for Odyssey,
what would it be?
That Eugene and Katrina make up
their minds about the wedding!!!! They've left that plot-line for too long and I really
want to see what happens.
How do you imagine Whit's End and
the town of Odyssey?
I imagine it somewhat like
Saskatchewan (yes, I'm Canadian, and no, we don't live in igloos), except in a more urban
area, where everybody knows each other.
What is your favorite section of the
official site?
The Library. It's like an online
Complete Guide to Odyssey!
What is your favorite section of my
website?
Probably the photos section because
they have some of MY photos in them :)
Would you ever consider working with
AIO? Acting, writing...?
Most certainly! Probably not
writing, but definitely sound design and acting. I've always wanted to be an intern at
FOTF and at least sit in on a recording session or two.
If there was one thing you could
change about AIO, what would it be?
I would make it have more of a
continuing storyline, so that there would be one or two plots that linked the series
together.
What is your favorite part of
Adventures in Odyssey?
Definitely albums. I mean, the audio
drama is what got it all started. The videos aren't very Odyssey-ish, and although I've
very much enjoyed Passages, it isn't much like AIO either.
Do you have any comments,
questions...?
Yes! I don't get this question,
could you explain?
If there's one thing that you would
tell someone about Odyssey, what would it be?
LISTEN TO IT! That's only if I had
time to scream it to a pedestrian while crossing the intersection with my bicycle. If I
had more time, I'd probably tell them that even though this program is Christian, it's not
boring. People seem to have the preconception that Christians can't have any fun. Well,
I'm hear to tell ya that we can have more fun than any other people on the planet! Then I'd say, LISTEN TO IT!
