How long have
you been a fan of Adventures in Odyssey?
Wow... I started
my AiO adventure in 1987 -- over 20 years ago! I have memories of being about 10
years old and my six-year-old sister was in the back seat of the car as we
listened most intently to Chris mark the beginning and ending of each episode.
Family rule was "QUIET!!! Adventures in Odyssey is starting!"
To this day, I remember -- and still wonder why there's no street address for
the show: AiO, Colorado Springs, CO 80995!
What is your
favorite episode of all time?
It could be the
episode marking Eugene's day of salvation, but then again, I enjoyed the day
Connie accepted Christ.
If you could
meet one actor, who would you meet and why?
Katie Leigh
(Connie Kendall) would be THE Odyssey actress for me to meet! AND... I was a fan
of the Gummi Bears growing up. I knew Katie Leigh was Sunni Bear and I felt that
knowledge made me secretly cool! People talk about looking young, but sounding
the same age for 20 years is amazing to me!
As for other actors, I am an actress, so I've seen my fair share of actors on
film and TV sets while at work.
Which character
do you resemble the most and why?
I'm a female
version of Eugene, and I didn't know it until recently. He was my favorite as a
kid, and when I grew up, I joined Mensa, started to give IQ tests, and I now
meet hundreds of geniuses a year who are all like Eugene in their own ways. Do
extend my greetings and salutations to Mister Meltsner!
Who is your
favorite character and why?
Connie is my
favorite because we seem to be distant friends who grew up together. She's a
sincere heart who was wary and defensive, but now contributes as an integral
part of the community with her every decision guided by her relationship with
Jesus Christ. Definitely a role model!
In your
opinion, what do I need to change about my website?
Nothing... You're
doing fine.
If you could
change anything about AIO, what would it be and why?
Adventure in
Odyssey is a success in every way imaginable!
How do you
imagine Whit's End and the town of Odyssey?
Funny, I recall
walking into a Family Bookstore back in the early 1990s where I saw images of
AiO on videos playing on an in-store TV. First, I was shaken that everyone
except Eugene looked as they did in my imagination. Second, I begged my parents
to just leave me in the store until the streaming videos stopped, even if that
took six hours! I see Whit's End and Odyssey as a bit of Mayberry and a town
where the springtime sun never sets.
If you had your
own AIO site, what would you put on it?
I'd visit more if
there were more contests and updated forum pages at this site. Right now, it's a
bit stagnant and more informational.
What is your
favorite section of whitsend.org?
It's great to
listen online. I wish I could email episodes to people.
What is your
favorite section of the Odyssey Scoop, my site?
I like the episode
archives here. Way to go for being a diehard fan!
