Matt
How long have you been a fan of Adventures in Odyssey?
I've been listening to Adventures
in Odyssey for about ten years now. (I'm only 13.) My brothers got me into it
and as I got more mature I became more and more of a fan. Eventually, I got my
first album, "In Your Wildest Dreams". Now I consider myself an Odyssey die-hard
and am working on my complete collection.
What is your favorite episode of all time?
That is a very hard question. I
gave up making my top ten because I couldn't narrow it down from fifty. I would
have to say something in "Wish You Were Here", probably "First Hand Experience".
What is your favorite AIO web site?
That question is much easier.
Odyssey Scoop of course.
If you could meet one actor, who would you meet and why?
Luckily they all live in the same
place so I'll never have to face that question but probably Katie Leigh. From
the little behind the scenes kind of stuff that I've heard she sounds like a
really funny person.
Which character do you resemble the most and why?
Wooton, because he is still a kid
and I hope that I'll never grow up. (I'll be listening to a kid's radio drama
for the rest of my life.) He is always having fun and never really gets serious
which reminds me of myself.
Who is your favorite character and why?
Again Wooton, because he's so fun.
It was a genius character to create because with the personality that the
writers have given him every other thing he says is hilarious.
In your opinion, what do I need to change about my website?
Only use the second layout. It
takes you to the first one but when you click on something it takes you to the
second one. I like the second one better.
If you could change anything about AIO, what would it be and why?
Wow, if you really take the time
to study that question most adventures in Odyssey fans would say bring back Hal
Smith. But my first interpretation of the question leads me to say a web site
with every single episode on it so you could just go and listen to any episode
whenever you wanted and it would be really easy just to go right through and
listen to every one and not struggle like a friend of mine is doing. Also you
wouldn't have to buy albums.
How do you imagine Whit's End and the town of Odyssey?
If there was a real Odyssey, I'd
move there. I imagine it as the perfect little town where everyone knows each
other. As for Whit's End I imagine it as that cool little soda shop right on
main street.
A while back I found a list of all references to where Odyssey is on the
internet and one of them was that in the state where Odyssey is it is illegal to
ride your bike without a helmet. So I looked that up and no state has or has had
that law.
If you had your own AIO site, what would you put on it?
The ultimate
everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-Odyssey-and-more spreadsheet. I'm
working on a smaller one now It's got a list of 124 Characters and 13 columns of
all kinds of information about them.
What is your favorite section of
whitsend.org?
The library, because it's really
convenient.
What is your favorite section of the Odyssey Scoop, my site?
I love Chicken Soup for the AIO
Soul. That's a great section. It's really funny and I enjoy reading it.
Do you have any
last comments, questions, or suggestions?
I would like to see your
interview. You should answer your own questions and post them.
