How long have you been a fan of Adventures in Odyssey?
I have been a fan for going on 10 years. I like your show because it is a learning entertainment.
What is your favorite episode of all time?
The 500th episode is probably my favorite. But I like pretty much all of your episodes.
What is your favorite AIO web site?
Actors/Crew is my favorite. I like the pictures. Please show a picture of Aubrey
Shepard's father, who was also the voice of Jelly-Fish. Was he a husband to Marsha Brady, on the Brady Bunch
Show? His voice sounds so familiar.
Our Response: Yes,
he was. However, I do not have a picture.
If you could meet one actor, who would you meet and why?
I would have liked to have met Hal Smith (past WHIT!!) I LOVED his laugh. But since I can't, I would Like to meet Alan
Young (Jack Allen). He seems so kind and gentle but firm when he has to be. He seems like the perfect Grandpa, I used to watch the reruns of MR. ED on
Nick@Nite.
Which character do you resemble the most and why?
I guess maybe Connie. Because I get into trouble like she does, I don't always think before I speak.
Who is your favorite character and why?
My favorite characters are Whit because he is so helpful to the kids. I like Eugene because he is so funny when he gets together with Connie. I like Bernard also because he is funny. I like Jack Allen most probably because he is such a likeable person and was so good to Connie after Whit went to the Middle East.
In your opinion, what do I need to change about my website?
I probably wouldn't change anything, it is very helpful and knowledgeable. But I don't like how when you are listening to Odyssey on the Internet that it cuts in and out.
If you could change anything about AIO, what would it be and why?
I would have Jason Whittaker be more respectful to his dad. There seems to be
a lot of disrespect to authority on your shows w/o the characters addressing this and saying it is wrong. I didn't like the character Jason when Jack came on the scene because he was so disrespectful to Jack. Connie needs to be more respectful
too. She is to be under submission to those who are in authority. Remember, you are teaching kids how to act that may not have a role model at home. Odyssey is the role model of our future generation. Please keep it godly.
How do you imagine Whit's End and the town of Odyssey?
I imagine it to be a small town where people mainly ride their bikes or walk to where they want to go. I don't picture many cars. I guess you can say I picture it like Mayberry. Where everybody is friendly and neighbors talk over the fences.
If you had your own AIO site, what would you put on it?
I would put on a Bible Game. Kind of like Jeopardy. But we play with the computer or other people. It would help people to learn more about the Bible and Most important about JESUS CHRIST because He is the main reason we are even here.
What is your favorite section of
whitsend.org?
I like being able to hear past episodes. I hardly ever get to hear them otherwise.
What is your favorite section of the Odyssey Scoop, my site?
I like the site. You have pictures of the Actors who do the voices. You can put a picture with the voice and see them doing it in your head.
Do you have any comments or questions?
I would like you to do a dedication show to Hal Smith. Kind of like the 500th episode. Let us hear the entirety of the song Will Ryan did with Hal, Chris talked thru it the time you played part of it. It would be
extremely nice to hear how he behaved in the sound room. Like bloopers and stuff. Like when Katie Leigh coughed and Earl Boen said "Excuse my dog she coughs" and everybody busted up laughing. Maybe on the episodes you have time left on put bloopers of that episode on the end. Or ever so often have Blooper days. It is a great comic relief.
Our Response: I like your idea, KJ!
I've always enjoyed bloopers, whether they be on a movie, TV show, or Odyssey.
I can relate to Odyssey bloopers more though.
Your dedication show idea sounds like it
would take some work. However, I don't think AIO will ever produce it because
they want to give God the glory, not a single actor.
