How long have you been a fan of Adventures in Odyssey?
Well, I started
listening to it during Christmas '97, so that would make it about six years.
What is your favorite episode of all time?
Probably, "The
Mailman Cometh". It teaches a lot about responsibility, and putting the
blame where it really belongs. Other than that, I find the ending hilarious
where Tamika and Marvin are admitting to their mother the bad things that
they've done, before Wooten goes off and tells her. "I hid a banana peel in
Marvin's pillowcase!" "You WHAT?"
What is your favorite AIO web site?
I honestly don't
have one. I don't go to very many, and I go to the official site sometimes for
extra info. But I usually just listen to them every single day on the two radio
stations I listen to.
If you could meet one actor, who would you meet and why?
Probably Steve
Burns, who plays Robert Mitchell. I've always really liked his character,
because other than Connie, I resemble Mitch a lot.
Which character do you resemble the most and why?
Connie and Mitch.
Connie, because I'm probably young and stubborn, (if not a bit immature,
although I hate to admit it), like she is, and Mitch, because he's a risk-taker
who strives to achieve his goals, and succeeds when he puts his mind to it. So I
probably resemble those two the most.
Who is your favorite character and why?
Connie and Mitch.
They're simply the perfect couple; they fit each other perfectly. There's a lot
of wacky quirks in their relationship, which makes it interesting. They also
have to learn to trust each other, and trust God, which is very, very important,
both in a relationship, and in your walk with God.
In your opinion, what do I need to change about my website?
Hmmm. . .nothing
that I can think of, right now. I'd love more hilarious Sound Clips, though!
If you could change anything about AIO, what would it be and why?
Probably that Mitch
was still working with Novacom, or doing the computer-fixing job from his home
computer. I don't like it that Mitch is going to Budapest for two years; testing
his relationship with Connie is good, but testing it out too much can ruin it.
Besides, while it's probably quite unrealistic that Connie will find a new love
while Mitch is gone, (but, hey! Mitch has stayed on the program for quite some
time...it should tell you something, right?), it would've been nice to see them
get married. A nice, normal wedding, like Jack and Joanne's. "Sometimes you
have to let go of something to see if it's really worth holding onto. And
sometimes, when you realize it WAS worth holding onto, it's a little too
late."
How do you imagine Whit's End and the town of Odyssey?
Odyssey, as I
imagine it, is a quaint, quiet little town with many child-like attractions.
Whit's End is probably a big, Victorian-style place in the center of town, where
kids can sit in front of the counter, talking to Whit and Connie. Maybe Mitch
will stop in for awhile, while Aubrey and Nick battle the appliances in the
kitchen
If you had your own AIO site, what would you put on it?
I'm not sure. . .I'm
not one to run any radio program fansites!
What is your favorite section of
whitsend.org?
Kids' Radio and the
Library. I can re-read the summaries of the episodes, whether it be because I
missed one or two, or because I like remembering them.
What is your favorite section of the Odyssey Scoop, my site?
Extra! Extra!",
because it has a lot of fun stuff and behind-the-scenes content.
Do you have any comments or questions?
What color is
Mitch's hair?! I know his eyes are green (Green
Eyes & Yellow Tulips), but I've always wondered what his hair color is.
It would be extremely uber-cool if it was brown.
Our Response: According
to the cover art for Friends, Family, & Countrymen
and In Hot Pursuit, Mitch's hair is brown. So that is
"uber-cool"!
