January 5-11, 2010, The Odyssey Scoop and the
Unofficial Podcast
allowed Adventures in Odyssey fans everywhere to take The Ultimate Odyssey IQ Challenge, a trivia contest that
would surely separate die-hard fans from the "casual listener."
A total of 100 trivia questions covered the entire series of
albums 1-50, with two questions representing each album... and
ultimate it was! This contest aimed at quizzing
contestants based on facts that tend to "whiz" right past
listeners' ears, and those are the facts we thrived on in
creating the questions. Some were easy, some funny, and others
took a few minutes to figure out by listening to episodes.
Research was emphasized for fans
to earn the highest scores in the fastest time... qualifying
them to win and making them the Odyssey "whiz"! Visitors were
given an opportunity to re-submit their contest entry to improve
their scores, but only the most recent entry was graded. A total
of 104 unique contestants participated in the challenge with a
total of 138 submissions.

We must admit that this
contest was a challenge! Out of the 138 total on-time
submissions we received, only seven entries reached the A level
(90-100%). Because of this, we would like to highlight the four
