!
We've included statistics from the recent fan vote for the

Oh, and be sure to check back
tomorrow for a special announcement!
The
Official Podcast has done it again with the release
of its third bi-annual Avery Awards. Or at least, the
team attempts to:
Brock and Bob are on their way to the Avery Awards
ceremony for the "Green Ring Conspiracy" when Jesse arrives
with bad news — a plane has crashed into the awards venue.

We will be adding a permanent
page to our
Avery Awards feature in the future with results to
the fan voting. Until then, enjoy this comical podcast. It's
interesting to note that the
Ceiling Fan Podcast team helped in the creation of
this episode. You won't want to miss all the laughs!
Listening to Adventures in Odyssey
online just got a little sweeter.
AIO Wiki, an online resource for AIO compiled by the
fans and contributors, has recently announced the release of
its new
audio player
.
It contains a listing of recent available episodes,
podcasts, and free episodes. With its easy-to-navigate
system, it shouldn't be too difficult to listen to the
latest episodes. Some people have been having trouble
listening via
WhitsEnd.org, so
AIO Wiki
decided to release their own player to help out listeners
who may be experiencing issues.
Of course, you're still
welcome to click that "Listen Now" button you see on our "On
the Radio" sidebar here at the Scoop. It directs you to
Focus's audio player which has served fans faithfully for a
while. It's fun to think back and remember the days when AIO
wasn't so readily available. If you missed Adventures in
Odyssey during its time slot on your local radio
station, you missed it completely and had to order a
cassette version or purchase the cassette album. Oh, how
technology continues to advance to make the Adventures in
Odyssey fan experience all the better. Check out the new
audio player
here.
It
looks like the new Adventures in Odyssey logo will be
making its way onto existing AIO products in the days ahead
.
Or at least, some of them.
Unveiled in 2010, the AIO logo
features an updated look with an appealing frame around it.
As recently released via Tyndale's website, the updated
covers for the original novel omnibooks will contain the new
logo with the familiar rays and borders. The Odyssey team
determined that albums 1-50 will maintain the older
Adventures in Odyssey logo which fans embraced for
years, while albums 51 and onward will feature the new logo.
But as time passes us by, we may find that albums 1-50 may
undergo a transformation as well (down the road). Or maybe
we're predicting a little too soon and this will never
happen to albums 1-50. Yet, somehow, I can see it coming.
Well, that's what keeps a
product going, and if you disagree with the product
marketing process, that's up to you. If a company or
organization wants to keep its brand looking the same from
year to year, revisions and updates are inevitable and
necessary to communicate quality and consistency. And if
that means updating existing products to reach more
audiences, then hey!—I'm all for it. And collectors, you
have your work cut out for you.
The following books will
undergo this slight tweak to the cover design:
The
Imagination Station, the latest series of books from
Adventures in Odyssey, features illustrations by artist
David Hohn. Now, the
Official Podcast
has brought him on as a guest to share the art process for
the books:
Bob and Jesse call the winners of each category in the
Green Ring Art Contest. Plus, Imagination Station artist
David Hohn reveals his tricks of the trade.
Listen:
Of course, you're more than welcome to
take a look at Mr. Hohn's beautiful illustrations on his
website
.
And don't miss out on the announcement for the winners of
the Green Ring Art Contest. It's all inside the
latest edition.
Why don't
people like John Avery Whittaker? Tom Artichoke
makes a triumphant return to bring you the
story. Plus, an extremely crucial moment in the
Band Tour has surfaced as The Ceiling Fan
approaches its season finale. It's an episode
you don't want to miss.

latest episode. Of course, you can visit
ceilingfanpodcast.com to keep up with this
one-of-a-kind podcast, share opinions, and learn about the
team and cast of characters.
Today

branding perspective:

and other AIO products. Plus, learn about

There's nothing quite as
exciting as receiving a large response to our
blog posts
.
On
June 23, we announced that we hadn't
received any entries for our FreezeFrame
Photo Contest here at the Scoop. Since then and
up through the deadline, entries came pouring
in... and we're excited to release the photos
soon. But first, there's a little bit of work
that needs to be done, photos to be judged, and
files to be finalized. Until then, stay tuned.
Also, we had a
little oops moment. Somehow our June 29th post
regarding the latest
Official Podcast got lost in
translation. Forgive us. We'll try not to let it
happen again. It has since been replaced with a
makeshift post (real reason: we didn't feel like
re-typing it).
