Things seem
pretty slow at AIO sites these days, with an exception of
AIO
Mole. Even this website has had some cut-backs. :( Tomorrow after
school I hope (possibly during school because I conveniently have a
computer class with ample time) to write a review or two. I really have
gotten into my procrastination habit like I always do when school starts
(in terms of the website at least). Also I plan on fixing the minor glitch
on just about every episode Review
page. Here's something exciting... be the first to email me and tell me
what that glitch is, and I'll mention you in my next update! Come on...
the glitch isn't that hard to spot! Here's a hint: Don't bother visiting
the 499th show or the 500th. It won't help you. So if you want popularity
for one day... check out some of the reviews for that glitch and
contact
me!
I will be
archiving tomorrow, so... read up on all the updates you've missed! Not
that you can't read them after today or anything...

Today as usually happens,
I've gone ahead and updated This Week's Schedule (below),
not that it'll actually tell you anything past Monday, but it's updated!
Also if you'll notice at the right, the scrollbar is blue now. Exciting,
huh?
I sure hope you enjoyed my
new review of 500 when I posted it yesterday! If you haven't read
it, be sure to stop by Reviews to see
what I have to say about the episode. In other news,
AIO
Mole is really getting close to the end. So many conspiracies and
theories on Who is the Mole? have been flocking the
Mole
Boards for the past month since the game began. If you forgot to
watch the game, then stop forgetting and go see what all the commotion is
about! There's only 6 contestants left, and one of them is a lier.

After such a long time,
today is the day that I finally decided to release my review of 500.
Head on over to Reviews sometime today
(or right now) to see what I thought of the 500th show. I'll try
(emphasis on try) to write reviews for the rest of the Novacom Saga soon.
I also added a new poll (above)
which you can vote in (and I really need your input on this poll), and
also a little querky notice about The Lava Lamp Months. Yes, the
Lava Lamp Months. See above.

Autumn,
or Fall as many people call it, has arrived once again. That is why I have
modified the site logo (pictured above). Be sure to check out the 'leafy
design' I gave it. Also for everyone's convenience you can now see
"New season begins January 11, 2003" underneath the logo every
time you visit this page. Just call it a way so we won't forget to tune in
on the big day. ;)
In other news, I hope to
post my review of 500 I mentioned a few days ago, this Saturday.

Well, we're getting down the
the 100 mark on the Season Countdown... I sure hope we can make it! I am
quickly running out of things to talk about in these updates! :( I'll
think of something though. ;) If you have a poll idea be sure to
submit
it because we're out of ideas!

As promised yesterday, I
have finally updated the Official Fan List
with both Andy G. Harvey and Christina's names. Be sure to check it out.
Somewhere along the line I
forgot to mention in yesterday's update that I updated the Schedule for
this week at the left. So if you had to
rely on the Schedule page yesterday
because I failed to mention it, I'm sorry. I hope to host some sort of
contest soon, so if you have any ideas for one, please submit it!

I promised
over a week ago that the Official Fan List
would be updated, but I look back one week later and it still isn't
updated. Eek! However, I do have good news. Tomorrow I have made it my
first priority to update the Official Fan List, so today is a perfect time
to sign so your name will be posted tomorrow!
I wrote my
review of episode 500 a few weeks back, and it's very likely that you'll
have access to it later this week. Wednesday or Thursday-ish. Before the
new season starts I vowed that I would catch up on my reviewing, but so
far, I haven't managed to keep up. Oops. I'll see what I can do.

Why
do I feel like I'm a construction worker? If you haven't noticed, over the
past few weeks and month, I have decided to dedicate myself to too many
website responsibilities. Allow me to briefly explain a few of those
dedications: 1) A new character summaries section, 2) Chicken Soup section
3) Radio Theatre section... Now wouldn't you say this is quite a lot of
work? If you're into web designing then you'll understand. Just give me
some time. Right now I am busy with a church website, so some of the
promises I made so long ago may have to wait a little longer.
In other news, today makes
another edition of "The Best of Connie" with today's episode
being "License to Drive." Head over to
Oneplace
and listen.

Well, things are still slow
in the AIO world just as they were when you read Tuesday's update. Sorry I
haven't really updated very much in the past month. I am trying to adjust
to school and that takes away a lot of my time.
Tomorrow I plan on updating
the Official Fan List as I said I would
do nearly a week ago (bad me!), so if you want to get your name on the
list, do so today because it's the perfect time. Be sure to keep watching
AIO Mole: 80 days of betrayal if you're really looking for something to
satisfy your AIO craving!

I'm
not one to usually advertise products that are non AIO-related, but I
think this exception definitely deserves some attention. I am sure a lot
of you heard about the "Harry Potter is Bad" and "Harry
Potter is Good" points. Well... I am also aware, and you may be too,
that Harry Potter seems like an innocent book. Unfortunately that isn't so
true, as I found out as I read this book. Richard Abanes is a captivating
writer and he has a lot of important points that everyone needs to know.
Visit
CBD for more info if you're interested in reading this book. Then
visit
this link to find out about a similar book, "Fantasy and Your
Family," which is a good book as well.
Ah, well... I broke the
cardinel rules of the Odyssey Scoop's way of doing things... no biggy.
There hasn't been any exciting AIO news in the past few days.

It is time
to reveal the results to our previous Scoop Poll which was featured above
for a few weeks.
Scoop
Poll - "In the Know..."
In
General, I ___ AIO albums.
|
Buy
(11) |
33% |
Order
(9) |
27% |
Both
of the above. (13) |
39% |
I was clueless as to how the
results of this poll would go. I know a lot of AIO fans who order their
AIO albums, and I also know a lot who buy their albums at the store. The
question is... What do you, Jacob Isom, do when you get albums?
Well... if I had decided to vote in this poll (which I did), then I
probably would have decided to choose option 3: both of the above. Why?
Because I tend to be a picky person. I used to order from CBD, but the
prices went up, so then I started ordering through a wholesale catalog for
$15. But that was almost a no-go because after shipping it all comes up to
$20, the same price as CBD, AND also the same price of getting the album
at the store. Technically, the store near me sells albums for $18 dollars,
so I go to the store most of the time. If I am ordering two albums or
more, I resort to the wholesale catalog... that's the only time when you
get a true deal.
Enough of that! If you have
an idea for a new poll, PLEASE by all means,
send
us your ideas for a poll!
We'll mention you when we post the poll! Heh heh heh. We got a little
blackmail going on here. ;) I've gone ahead and updated the Schedule for
this week at the left.

I am pleased to announce
that I created an entire website yesterday! I was either extremely happy
or out of my mind, but nonetheless, there is now one more website in the
world. What is that website? Well... if
www.jonahmovie.com
is willing to post a link to it then it must be exciting! Well I hope they
post the link anyway. I'll let you know if they do post the link so
I can show you the site.

Hmm... What should I talk
about today? I had been thinking about that when I realized that... no! I
don't have to talk to you! Why should I talk to you when you can talk to
me? What a brilliant idea! And if you're wondering how you can talk to me,
then why not find out how to talk to me at the place of all talk to me
sections?! Head on over to Polls & Forums
and participate in this month's BRAND-NEW "Episode-Speak"
Contest. Now there's something to talk about.
I know... I occasionally
post with a rather weird update sometimes. And that news wasn't new. Just
call it a reminder. ;) I will be updating the Official
Fan List tomorrow or the next day, so if you haven't signed, now
is the perfect time.

Well,
today is a scary and also a depressing day for many Americans. Exactly one
year ago the World Trade Center towers were destroyed by terrorists. Now,
one year later, the one-year anniversary of the terrorist acts has
approached. There is no doubt in my mind that many will be worrying
throughout the day and others will be crying throughout the day. Whoever
is reading this, please note: You did not make it to this day without a
purpose. God put you here to spread the Gospel. Today many will be
questioning life, so why not use the circumstance to advance Christ's
Kingdom? This week is a wonderful witnessing opportunity. Go for it. Also
today make sure you pray for our nation, the president, and most
importantly, that there will be a revival in America.
If you are not saved and
would like assurance that you will be in Heaven someday with Jesus, then
pray this prayer and mean it in your heart: Lord
Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I know that there is nothing I can ever do to
earn my way to Heaven, and I know that the only way is through Jesus. Lord
I thank you and believe that Jesus died for my sins on the cross
and rose again three days later. You paid my punishment. I ask you to come into my
heart now, Lord Jesus, and make me the person you want me to be. Thank
you, Jesus. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer,
then you are a now a child of God. There's nothing that can ever take you
out of God's hands. If you prayed that prayer, the angels are up in Heaven
rejoicing right now! Be sure to
send
me an email if you asked Jesus to come live in your heart so I can
rejoice with you and also help you in your new faith.

You
may or may not know yet, but the Soda Fountain is currently closing its
operation for one month. From September 7 - October 7, 2002, Shadowpaw,
the site's webmaster, will be working alongside the Adventures in Odyssey
team. Throughout his stay in Colorado he will be keeping a journal-type
memory which he will post when he gets back. His site resumes on October
15, 2002. I'm sure he will have lots of interesting stories to tell, funny
moments, and just plain interesting facts. Be sure to check back to his
website on October 15th.
Today
this week's schedule is updated below. Also
today I finally updated the Fans' Reviews
section over in Misc with two new reviews:
one by Alyson and another by Bennett Charles. Check it out.
Saturday, September

It's already week two of
"The Best of Connie" celebration, and I had the opportunity to
listen to the interesting intro last week. Katie Leigh mentions that she
just had a baby when she was scheduled to record and Connie may have been
played by a different actress! If you missed it, then visit
OnePlace's
archives to listen to the intro. And don't forget about
today's
broadcast which should feature another interesting fact at the
beginning in "Connie II."
I went ahead and updated the
Official
Fan List again because in the last day, two more people have
signed. Keep it up guys! If you haven't signed it yet be sure to do so.
After all, it is the unofficial "Official Fan List!" If
you catch my drift.
Friday, September

Well well well! It looks
like things are really heating up in the
AIO
Mole realm. If you haven't seen this week's challenge yet then
check it out and then go vote someone out!
Today I updated the
Official
Fan List with two more fans' names. Be sure to head over and read
their official comments signifying their official fan-dom! If you haven't
signed yet then maybe today's your lucky day. Since today is so official,
why not also head over to the Official Site and find out how you can get a
FREE Odyssey wall calendar just for participating in the "Where's
Eugene?" contest! I am assuming that they aren't getting many people
to participate and need an ulterior motive. Maybe it's time to
participate! Just sign into your Wonderworld username.
Also of interest today, I
updated the Schedule for September in
case any of you are needing that.
Wednesday, September
4, 2002
If you haven't noticed,
today is the last day to turn in your Eugene translations from last month.
That means that if you're still working on your entry, you have less than
one day to get that in to me! You can either do so by visiting our
Contact
Us section or e-mailing
us. Visit Polls & Forums
if you need to see my paragraph in which to follow because it's still up.
Yesterday I acquired the
first two installments of "Mysteries in Odyssey" and I already
read through the first book! I may be posting a mini-review of it. Then if
I get time I'll catch up on my Reviews section.
Monday, September
2, 2002
Well, as you'll notice today
there are two new additions to the website. First of all, I'd like to mention that if you
are working on your Eugene translation for last month's forum, I am giving you no later
than Wednesday to turn in your draft for the Eugene-Speak forum! That means you have three
days to get it in! Don't miss out! Unfortunately because of today's additions, you'll have
to go to the Contact Us section to submit it. Also
today since it is September, I added our all-new "Episode-Speak"
forum. What is the Episode-Speak? Well
why not find out over at Polls & Forums, which I
may add, has a new design! I'm sure many of you will enjoy it. I enjoyed writing a few as
well! Also today when you're surfing the site don't forget to stop in to take our new
monthly poll and don't forget about the
poll at the top of this page!
If you are a fan of the screen resolution 800 x 600,
then you probably immediately noticed that this page looks better. Yesterday I decided to
sit down once and for all and fix what I messed up. I hope you enjoy the corrected error!
Now this website looks best in every screen resolution, although I still think 1024 x 768
looks best.

Welcome to September, the month that people
who love school love, and the month that seems hopeless for those who hate school. I hate
school, meaning that I hate the month of September for that very reason. I had originally
written up today's update early, mentioning that my webspace was still being a problem.
Well I am happy to announce that the server troubles are finally over and things should
get back to normal!
With the month of September comes the
results to last month's Scoop Poll:
August 2002 Poll: What
child character would you want brought back the most? [55 votes total]

Glen Adams (5) |

I was surprised that Lucy
Schultz gained 27% of the overall vote because a lot of fans think that Lucy was a goody
too-shoes. However, I wasn't surprised that everyone wants Jimmy Barclay back. I sort of
failed to add Oscar and Erica Clark when I made this poll. Oops. I'm sorry if you were one
who wanted to vote for Erica. :(
I hope to post a new poll and finish up that
Eugene-Speak forum when I get around
to it in the next few days. Why not try your best in the last EVER Eugene-Speak before it
ends? Also today I updated this week's schedule at the left.
