Episode Reviewed: Broken Window (467)
Rating (Out
of 5 cones):
I guess as you already noticed, I don't really like
this episode of Adventures in Odyssey very much. My reason being that it seemed too...
familiar. Can you think of why I don't like this one? Just take a wild stab in the dark!
Yep, you guessed it! It was such a copycat of another AIO episode, "Scales of
Justice!"
I'm sure it reminded many of you about it too. Right
when I first heard it, the first thing that came into my head was, "AIO is definitely
running out of ideas." I'm also pretty sure that thought has crossed a lot of
people's minds. Think of it! They're having court over a dumb broken window! Why couldn't
Whit just fess up and save everyone an episode?
Another reason that I absolutely detest this episode
is Rodney's behavior. Lately, maybe it's just the actor, Rodney hasn't sounded himself at
all. He acts so immature these days. I think the AIO writers need a quick dose of reality
every now and again! Good grief! Rodney's actor is definitely playing it up too much. The
thing I actually do like about this episode is the misunderstanding between Mitch and
Connie. But even Constance Kendall didn't quite sound herself. Katie Leigh's voice is
really going through a change, and her character is suffering from it.
All in all, this episode is worth hearing once or twice, but in
my opinion, well... they better not put this in one of their next AIO Classics albums!
