Episode Reviewed: A Look
Back I & II (435, 436)

"A Look
Back" is an episode that I am glad they made and also annoyed that they made. My
reason: I had to contact Focus on the Family and request a copy. I usually just get the
new album when it comes out, but this time I knew that it wouldn't be in an album, so I'd
better get it. When I heard it on the radio, I really enjoyed how they mixed in all
different scenes from the years of Adventures in Odyssey. I also have "The Adventure
of the Adventure" on cassette and "A Look Back" definitely kills it.
I noticed something
in this show. Sometimes Phil Lollar sounds rather unprofessional when he gets into the
Imagination Station in part two, and sometimes throughout the show he overplays his part.
That is the only thing I don't really like about the show.
There's one thing I
wish AIO would do. I think that they ought to put this episode, "The Adventure of the
Adventure," "One Bad Apple," and others that have not been placed into an
album into a AIO Classics album. I wrote to them about it, but they don't sound too
interested.
I definitely reccommend this to
anyone who is knew to AIO. Also I'd like to mention one more thing. At the end of part
two, they play salvation scenes. I thought that made a nice touch to the end, and I really
believe that it brought someone to Christ somewhere. I really like how they actually
showed everyone how to say the prayer of salvation while on the air. There have probably
been so many who haven't written in to learn more about Jesus at the end of some episodes.
I am glad that AIO decided to teach everyone how to know they're saved.
