Alabama

To this day, Alabama has never been mentioned specifically by a character in such a way that eliminates the possibility of Odyssey residing there.

  • In Bernard and Esther, Whit and Bernard sing "Oh Susannah" briefly: "...I've come from Alabama with a banjo on my knee." However, they are merely singing a song and not enough evidence is included to prove the Odyssey is or is not in Alabama.

  • In More Than a Feeling, Eugene talks about Jerry Hammond, a boy in Eugene's fourth grade class, who went on to be the lawn mower king of Tuscaloosa. Not enough evidence is included to prove the Odyssey is or is not in Alabama.
