John Fornof has been writing and producing
for radio and television since 1985, winning Addy Awards
for commercials and two Emmy awards for television
documentaries. He also produced the Last Chance
Detectives audio series, wrote screenplays for the
award-winning Ribbits! animated series, and
penned the popular "Mysteries in Odyssey" novel The
Case of the Hooded Horseman. Since leaving
Adventures in Odyssey, John currently works with
Lamplighter Publishing's Lamplighter Theatre
dramas. John and his wife Karen
have three children, Chris, Robert and Melissa.

A poll was conducted at the Official Site shortly
before this book series was released. Fans voted "mysteries" as the
type of book series they were interested in seeing next. The
Mysteries in Odyssey series was the result.
