Does the SS need a chat?
Or maybe it's not that deep and the chat just quit.
I still think it's stupid.
Hey Jimmy,I don't agree with that at all.

It could be that, but I think most things happen with a reason. Things don't just "quit". But that is a different discussion for another time
As Mr. Whittaker would put it, "There is no such thing as coincidences". (Can't remember which episode he said it in, but its there somewhere!)Connie_Kendall wrote:arwen wrote:Or maybe it's not that deep and the chat just quit.

I just got on a couple days ago and I haven't used chat. so I don't know if I would miss it or not but I like posting, so it might be good for me since I start with only posting and then later once the chat comes back I can try it and see how I like it.

I say this topic should be renamed: "The Chat - The PAST". This abolishment of the chat is the best thing to happen to the Soda Shop since... well, since I started ESK!

I just realized that this is one thing you and Pound Foolish are both passionate about and actually agree on.

I liked the chat, but, I think (now) it is better without it. I like the FUTURE chat though too! Thank you for making it safer. I totally agree with Liz.

Yes, indeed, Connie. Tis God's hand that hath delivered us from the chat.
About agreeing passionately with Mr. Thinker... I shudder.

I think this could quite possibly be a good change.
But it seems like the rate of posting has probably gone down more than up since the removal of chat.
I didn't really use the chat much anymore, because I was honestly too lost to know what to do.

I don't think it really applies to thisStella C. wrote:As Mr. Whittaker would put it, "There is no such thing as coincidences". (Can't remember which episode he said it in, but its there somewhere!)Connie_Kendall wrote:arwen wrote:Or maybe it's not that deep and the chat just quit.

^^I have to agree, it would feel much safer if anyone who wanted to chat had to be a member and logged on before they could enter.
I have been wondering, where did the SS chat go? I was on a while ago and it was there, and the next time, IT WAS GONE! Can someone please explain?

Well, since it's because of me that we even had the chat* , I thought it was about time I should post. I will dearly miss the chat. Yes, activity may be better on the main board, but overall, activity has been pretty much cut in half since the chat box was removed. We need to boost the activity somehow. We should have some kind of party......or something.....with games. that might boost activity a bit.
* The reason I state that it is because of me that the chat box was ever there is because I was the (awesome) member who brought it to Bren's attention that only admins could have access or even see the chat box.
