This is exactly my opinion! I don't think any of the girls mentioned above are right for him!

I'm not sure, I think that it would need to be someone we haven't met yet.Aftershocker wrote:So, who do you think is right for him?God's Girl wrote: This is exactly my opinion! I don't think any of the girls mentioned above are right for him!

God's Girl, name one single reason why Monica isn't right for Jason. She's perfect for him. And please don't go, "Um, because she lied to him and stole from him and tried to seduce him." That's why she's perfect. They've been through things together. It's getting past things that makes a relationship real. The hearts and flowers stage doesn't test a relationship. When things get rocky, real love shines through.
Jason loves Monica in spite of everything.
That's true love.

She's my inspiration for going all Angelina Jolie at lazer tag..Monica rocks. And a guy doesn't need a hundred options, he just needs the right one...and Monica is the right one.

Is Monica a Christian? From her actions, it certainly didn't seem so. How about the fact that their supposed "relationship" was built on lies and deceit. Please tell me how a normal relationship is supposed to function probably with that?Pound Foolish wrote:God's Girl, name one single reason why Monica isn't right for Jason. She's perfect for him. Quite simply, she isn't right for him, because there was no real relationship between them, only Monica's trickery.

Gods Girl, if I had lied to you when we first met, but then we became friends, would our friendship be worth nothing because of the lie? Even if I came clean?
The past is the past.
Again, Jason showed he loved Monica by sticking to her. He refused to abandon a criminal. Never forget the beautiful scene, the last we see of Jason in Nova Com, when he's talking to Monica. He loves her.
Who cares about her earlier actions? She proved herself.
In fact, it doesn't even matter if someone is a virgin.
It doesn't matter where someone was.
It's where they are.

I believe you may be mistaking compassion and sympathy for love.Pound Foolish wrote:Again, Jason showed he loved Monica by sticking to her. He refused to abandon a criminal. Never forget the beautiful scene, the last we see of Jason in Nova Com, when he's talking to Monica. He loves her.
When did she say she was sorry, when did she come clean? When was there a chance for their relationship to start over again, clean and fresh?Pound Foolish wrote:Who cares about her earlier actions? She proved herself.

She didn't say she was sorry, as far as we saw. But all I said was she proved herself. And she did. She stood up against Nova Com. Going even farther, above and beyond duty, she didn't even bargain witness or whatever that's called.
As for mistaking... you unromantic! I've quoted it before, and I'll quote it again. (It's fun anyway. Sigh.) "Maybe, on Valentine's day." Who knows, maybe Jason will bring Monica roses in a few days. Happy Valentine's day, Monica.

I don't know about everyone else, but when I meet a guy and he lies to me when we first meet. I have trouble trusting him. And going as far as marriage? Ha! Fat chance!
Reason I want Connie to get together: precisely because they WEREN’T made for each other. They are separate entities. Mitch was the love interest for Connie; Tasha for Jason; Katrina for Eugene—and for some reason, their relationships seemed a bit contrived to me. That’s why I was never very enthused with any of those pairings. I think people should just be on the show, not brought on for someone else’s sake, and gravitate toward each other if it works that way.
In Jason and Connie’s case, they are regulars on the show, Connie is very close to Whit, I think that it’d be nice if she was part of his family as daughter-in-law. Connie also had a crush on Jason once; this could mean she still feels that way, just beneath the surface. Jason is older than her, and a works/ed for the government (which didn’t work well with Mitch), but that wouldn’t matter if they loved each other. People can be total opposites but it still works because of love. Hahah. (Starting to sound sappy…uh oh better stop) Love doesn’t always choose the obvious.
-That said, I am not necessarily totally convinced myself. That's why I am exploring the possibility in a fanfiction I'm writing....http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9045305/1/Consequence

~ Kaida--I'm new here so I wasn't able to send you a private message. Hope you'll see this. "Consequence" is actually a sequel to my first fanfiction, "Fallout" which was a sequel of sorts to "The Labyrinth".

Ameraka, you're a genius! (Though I'd be curious if you could try and put your finger on what makes Mitch and Connie "contrived." They're not.) If Monica and Jason didn't have major things to get past, their relationship would be that much less awesome.

Of course. Mall-loving stay-at-home counter girls often marry gritty ex-agents.

Okay, I just want to quickly reply to this...Jason wrote:Honestly I don't want to see Jason get married, mainly because it's hard to imagine.
I don't believe the marriage of a character should be disregarded simply because it's hard to imagine. After all, wasn't Eugene's marriage hard to imagine? Wasn't Jack's? It's not ever easy to imagine a character undergoing a big change. But it can happen. We've seen it. That's all I wanted to say. Great post, by the way! I agree with you about Monica.
Oh wait... After I posted this, I realized Jason's comment was made 3 pages ago. An, well...

I know two people who got married when they're about 8 years apart in age.
Connie and Jason, I think, would make a good couple. But whether I'm sure, or not, remains yet to be seen.
Do you know my brother thinks Connie and Wooton should get married? Opposites attract, sure, but....o.O
