Was there a question there? I was just sharing my personal observations of large families I have known.

Do you like roller coasters?
I think the most important thing is being there for your friend, whether its to listen or to help whatever they need the most.

I do not like roller coasters, can't stand them.

I figured, since you don't like heights. I'm the same way. I HATE heights and though I've never been on a roller coaster, I have no desire to ever try it. Sounds utterly unenjoyable to me.

Have you always liked debating or was there a point in time where you just started debating?

I didn't start debating until my junior year of highschool actually. I was more of a jock before that, I played a lot of competitive sports until that point.

There was no question. Sometimes you just want to comment....but I realize that isn't acceptable here.

Have you ever wished you were never born?

What's the purpose for our existence?

@Mandy I would love to try a roller coaster because it would be terrifying.

@ED Don't you think facing fear and doing terrifying things is courage and needs to be done?

I was mostly kidding, of course you can make comments.

I have wished that at times.

The purpose of our existence is to enjoy communion with God.

I think sometimes we need to face our fears and do things that terrify us but I don't think roller coasters are essential to human existence and thus aren't something I "need" to do.

Yeah, I knew that. I was being snappy and sarcastic.

So the purpose for our existence isn't to glorify God?

Part of being in communion with God is to glorify Him. I just think communion with Him is a fuller description of the relationship we're suppose to have.

What man from history named his wife?

You believe because Jesus says "This is my body" the bread is his literal flesh. So, when Jesus says "I am the door" He becomes wood?

I don't know know, who?

Context, when Jesus was talking about the door He was speaking in a parable. When He talked about His Body all the disciples went, whoa wait really? And Christ was like, yes really.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?”Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
I just don't see any ambiguity about this.

But that verse isn't talking about the Lord's Supper. The context of that verse is Jesus talking to the people on the lake. The "Bread of Life" verse is found in John 6 (none of the other gospels have it), but The Last Supper is mention by John in chapter 13. I sincerely doubt the listeners at the time (in John 6) would be thinking: "Oh, yeah, he's talking about the Passover meal he hasn't had yet."

This isn't a question, but you should comment on it.

Why did I feel the need to read up on this entire thread from the last time I read it, even though I knew it would just be you and MF talking about you and MF ish things?

Did you even miss me while I was gone?

How do you feel inside of yourself?

What does it mean that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains? Does it meant hat all of us have microscopic faith?

You the smart guy, should know this. Adam named Eve.

So, why after the Last Supper, when Jesus says, "This is my body" did he precede to call it "bread" again three times afterward? Wouldn't that indicate that he was saying that in a purely symbolic way?

No no MF I was joking. I have picked up sarcasm recently. It is fairly interesting to read you and WD talking and you aren't the only posting here. Worry not!

If someone were standing over you with a sword, telling you to deny Jesus or else you'd be chopped into a million pieces, what would you do?

What do you usually do to vent/calm your anger?

What is your career goal?

No but when the time came for the Last Supper and He used the same words they could look back to John 6. I mean of course they couldn't see ahead but Jesus could and He introduce concepts that would come into play later. Also for me when I looked into this I could not find anyone until Zwingli who agrees with your interpretation that's it's only a symbol. That it is truly the Body and Blood is a universal belief until the 1500s.

Of course I missed you.

Inside of myself? I'm not understanding the question.

No, I think its saying that we only need a little faith to do great things.
Miss Friendship wrote:So, why after the Last Supper, when Jesus says, "This is my body" did he precede to call it "bread" again three times afterward? Wouldn't that indicate that he was saying that in a purely symbolic way?
No, it was both His Body and bread.

English and German mostly, with some of the German being German Jews.

I sure hope I wouldn't deny Jesus, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't.

Play video games.

Don't have any at the moment.

Favorite forum, probably church.

I went on a winery tour with several friends, that was fun.
