From Episode Ideas thread. This idea is the brainchild of PennyBassett:

Just think of it! The two of them just strutting out down a parking lot as if they ruled the world, as a building explodes behind them.
Scientific Guy wrote:Monty has a new assignment with the Secret Service, and it turns out that Jared is his partner. The two start the case, but realize that it's tougher than they expected. So, they go to Odyssey for help from Jason. Jason says he'd love to help, but he can't since he's retired. However, he does give them a little bit of info they need to solve the case.
Monty and Jared are back on the case, but Jared finds some of Jason's advice confusing. He suggests they scrap his plan. Monty insists they do it his way. The two argue and eventually split up. Monty follows Jason's instructions but can't finish it on his own. Jared ends up arresting the wrong person.
Perhaps we can fit Mr. Skint in here somehow...?

PennyBassett wrote:Jared and Monty return to Odyssey while on another case. They make it an excuse to visit some old friends, but when they get there, they find out that Buck Oliver is missing! Jared's curiosity and anger are sparked, so he immediately wants to go find him. Monty, on the other hand, is cautious about going on a mission without consulting with their superiors first. After praying about it, Jared realizes that God is telling him to look for Buck. Jason offers to give him advice on how to deal with the situation (from a retired agent's pov). Jared claims he knows what to do and refuses help, meanwhile Monty stays and listens to Jason's insight. Jared goes off on the case, eventually finding Buck. However, because he didn't stay and listen to Jason, he ends up getting shot by Mr. Skint in the leg. Through information Jared had given them, Jason and Monty end up successfully capturing Mr. Skint, using the tactics Jason had told him about. The lessons would be about God's calling coming before man's, and the dangers of prideful independence. I think it'd also be interesting to maybe have Jason struggle with feeling like he's losing his purpose in Odyssey, and in the end, he becomes an online assistance consultant (we'll pretend that's a real job) for agents.
Scientific Guy wrote:I think that the part about Jared getting shot would be a bit too violent. And, I don't really think that it's a good idea to either catch Mr. Skint or to bring Jason back into the spy scene.
This is what we have so far. I'll edit this as we add more stuff. Let's see it this thing works!Scientific Guy wrote:Mr. Skint knocks out Buck (or his henchman does) and takes him away. Once Buck wakes up, and recoils after seeing ol' Jeb, Skint starts trying to coerce Buck to come back. Buck starts to resist, but Skint replies with something about Buck regarding Skint as his father, then asking again if he'll join. [The scene then fades out.] Meanwhile, Jared and Monty are looking for Buck and eventually find out that Mr. Skint took him. This makes them wonder whether or not Buck has changed allegiances again.
