Scene 1
[Sound-effects: doorbell, doorbell heard again, snoring]
Harlow Doyle (half asleep): Zzzzzzzz-huh. Oh. Who could be at the door?
[Sound-effect: door opens]
Matthew Parker: Hi Mr. Doyle. It's career day at my school today and-
Harlow (interrupting): Oh. I see. You need me to help you find someone to talk to about their career.
Matthew: Well actually I was hoping I could talk to you. When I grow up I want to be a detective.
[Cheerful music starts]
Harlow: Why of course. I'd love to help you. First I'll have to know your name.
Matthew: I'm Matthew...Matthew Parker.
Harlow (mumbling while writing): Matthew Matthew Parker.
Matthew: No no. Just one Matthew.
Harlow: Oh. Is that spelled with an L or an O.
Matthew: Niether.
Harlow: Uh...okay. So what exactly do you want to know about detectives?
Matthew: Well I've always wanted to get some tips or even lessons from a real life detective.
Harlow: Sure. By the end of the day you'll have more than enough info for your career day report. Alright, step one to being a detective: uh...well...actually I have no idea what step one is. Oh yeah, first step is to fasten your seatbelt. No wait...that's first step when you get into a car.
Matthew: Okay just wait a minute. I've got to write this down.
Harlow: Step two...
(music and voices fade)
Scene 2
Rodney: Why not Pop. I want to do my career report on you. I need you to tell me more about your job. Please Pop.
Bart: No way. I have work to do. And don't call me Pop.
Rodney: But Pop.
Bart: Remember what happened last time you wrote a report on me? You said I was a retired army officer. And remember the other time when you said I was best friends with the President? And then there was the time you said I was a millionaire.
Rodney: But this is different, Pop.
Bart: I need to get to the Electric Palace so stop bugging me.
[Sound-effect: door slamming]
Rodney (whispering): Fine. If you won't tell me then I'll sneak into the Electric Palace and watch you. (shouting) Hey Mom, I'm going for a walk, Okay.
Dorris (shouting from the kitchen): Whatever. Just be back by supper.
[Sound-effect: door slamming]
Well, thats what I've got so far. How do you like it?

Well, Wooton wrote the script, and I'm sure he'll thank you for it. I like to give credit where credit's due. Anyway, I hope your Passages attempt is successful, and I'd love to read that seventh book! I have worked on many Odyssey episode ideas, including one that I wrote before Something Old, Something New aired where Mitch came back, as well as a two-part mystery involving birthday cake and a mayoral election. I would enjoy writing for Odyssey some day, so I've thought of many other ideas.Odysseygirl101 wrote:I'm writing the 7th Passages book, I didn't think of writing episodes, though. Thanks for the idea. (Excellent script Mr. Thinker!)
