The ending was very emotional, especially when Mitch sent Connie the yellow tulips. But, all things considered, I think they ended it well.

I think I would be able to accept it more if they talked about Connie and Mitch still being friends and talking every once in a while, and their relationship, though just a friendship, not just completely ending. For some reason that just bothers me, but the fact that Mitch is marrying someone else doesn't bother me that much.

But, definitely a sad, yet good, way to end it. :D

I really wished they would get married. Maybe if Mitch and his wife get divorced Connie and him will get married.

I think that this show is a way of saying that Mitch and Connie together is out of the question. I really doubt that they would have them divorced. If they were to get Maureen out of the picture, I think that it would be by her dying, and then Connie and Mitch would still probably wait for quite a few years before getting back together, if ever! I think that it is safe to say that it is a far-fetched idea, and will not happen for quite a few years if ever.

First of all, Katrina, i hope that was a joke. ;) Anyhow, I'm saddened in many ways by Something Old, Something New. I mean, wasn't almost everyone? I and my sister both yelled "MIIITCH!" When he called on Candid Conversations. But my two bros, and even my sister, said I yelled waayyyy too loud. :) What can i say? When it comes to Odyssey, I'm enthusiastic. But the next sentance... oh wow. AND THEN WHEN IT TURNED OUT THEY'RE MARRYING MITCH OFF TO A DIFFERENT CHARACTER... It wouldn't have bee n so bad if the episode took time to establish Maurine's character. As it was, she's not much more than a cut-out. Why should we like her? On the upside, the episodes were very funny, had neat plot twists, and I geeked out over the fun mixing of older, oldest, and brand-new Odyssey characters ALL TOGETHER! But... do any of us Odyssey fans want the man who told Connie he loves her to marry someone who's a stranger to us?

Yeah, like Connie would get married to someone who had just gotten divorced. I don't think Whit would like that. Divorce is wrong, and AIO/FOTF has said that countless times. I don't think Mitch should get divorced just so he can marry Connie. Mitch and Maureen are right for each other, and Connie will remain single. Sorry, guys!

I understand they probley did this episode to show that they will never be together, but it kind of brought back all kinds of stuff back up.

MY LEAST favorite episode EVER. It's horrible! Why would they do this to Connie? I had always wished Mitch would come back, but now after this episode, I think they should have left him in Budapest or where ever he was.

I think they were too rushed. I mean, suddenly Mitch comes back out of no where, to sell a beach house (which we never knew about....), and just expects Connie to accept that he's getting married to SOMEONE else. Connie and Mitch's relationship lasted for several albums, and suddenly it just ends in two episodes. These episodes were very down-sized compared to others! Its a little silly to me.... She was just created to take Mitch away from Connie. Well, that's my opinion! :D

Love is more important than any training for the FBI. Mich should have married Connie, with the promise to come back after one year. Leave him in Budapest? Bad answer. It's just that marrying him to some FBI chick who likes opera was even worse. :)

Does anyone think that the so called virus was really Mitch who emailed Connie's wedding invitation for an excuse not to get married to Connie because he wanted to get married to Maureen?

Yeah I don't really want divorce in AIO so I kind of want her to die.

Wow! Fans are taking the whole C & M thing to a whole new level, even bringing death threats into the picture! I don't think this is what the AIO team wanted when they had Connie and Mitch separate.

Maureen, Maureen, Maureen,
Fell down and burst her spleen
Connie trampled her till she was unfit to be seen
Whit thought it was mean
Mitch was sad but decided Maureen was now has a has-been
Connie's eyes lit up with a sheen
Poor, poor Maureen, Maureen, Maureen
(But she had it coming, have you seen?)

I don't think I'll submit that to the Chicken Soup section, but I like it!

Interesting theory!! But I don't know if the writers would do that, because they never explained it in the episode. I don't think they are going to talk about the Connie-Mitch thing at all in any future episodes. The episodes with connie and mitch were so good though!! I loved their characters, and they were even better together!!!
