It had really great moments and really meh moments. I LOVED the cameo at the end of the ep by you know who...THAT made my day.

I thought the same thing. I want to listen to this one again since I was a little distracted listening the first time.Bren wrote:As far as the cabin scene with Jason, I thought of Solitary Refinement and Eugene trying to be alone with God.
I liked the episode. I don't think Jason will leave his exciting life for good, since he hasn't been able to for long any of the other times he has tried. But his character could always change. I was a little worried there was going to be a Connie/Jason romance, but I am glad that there wasn't one.
I thought Eugene's part in the episode was good, but now that I think about it..why was there the jewelry scam thing? I mean other to add interest. Is there going to be more about that? More excitement for Jason already?

I don't know why they had the scam thing.... I wonder, is it going to lead to something, or was it there for the excitment? Food for thoughts...

The title makes one perhaps expect a big welcoming party episode, like Welcome Home. But that could hardly carry two episodes, and why flagrantly repeat yourself when you can be original?
The jewel scam, besides providing a subplot and suspense, made Jason's return to Odyssey, ironically, the opposite of off duty. This allowed Jason to come back in style, with a kind of maybe-final wave to Jason's determined years of agent missionary work, investigation and espionage.
It's wonderful to have Jason back in an unquestionably fairly excellent pair of episodes, featuring use of J and J (whee!) Connie bouncing off Penny and Wooton and vice verse (always priceless) including Penny meeting him for the first time, and, essentially, some nice Whit-Jason moments.
Thanks, AIO team!

I loved these episodes! I love Jason, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of his time in Odyssey pans out. I really doubt he's going to settle down much (He wouldn't really be Jason if he did).
I think Penny was a tiny bit...starstruck? when she met Jason. It was quite hilarious actually, because I think I would react in much the same manner to all of his awesome Jason-ness.
I loved the part where they were all hanging out at Penny and Connie's place. (I felt like I was glimpsing the future
)
I hope Jason is home to stay.

I was just going to say this!^ I can't really see him managing an antique shop, not for long anyway. He'll be pulled into adventure one way or another. It's in his nature. I read something about spies being ADD types who can't sit still for long, always have to be doing something, and I think that fits Jason. I don't think he's going to change (and I don't want him to). But he may need a break for a while, so maybe that's what's going on now.EmilyLBean wrote:I really doubt he's going to settle down much (He wouldn't really be Jason if he did).

Action is synonymous with Jason. Indeed, eventually, he'll be in the center of some adventure some way. In the meantime though, seeing him as an antique dealer will be... well, who knows what it'll be like. That's just not who we know Jason as so far. How can Jason deal in antiques?! Your business can either be where your heart is, or it can be a way to make money. In Jason's case, it has to be the latter. Unless Jason has a deep, uncommunicated love of Father Knows Best collectibles.

I listened to this two~parter for the first time today. I found it enjoyable. Not AiO's absolute best, but it had Jason and Jason's wonderful wit in it, and that gave it an extra boost.
(Yes, I am a biased Jason fan
)
It would have been nice to hear a little more from J and J, though. (They were some of my favourite characters and it's sad to see them go).
There were a few parts that were rather slow, but overall I found it to be quite an enjoyable episode, befitting the return of the younger Whittaker.

I have not heard this episode yet. I need to listen to it. I would say its okay until I hear it.

"That was sooo good."
"Yeah, a real classic."
Although this quote wasn't from Home Again; it says exactly what I thought after I heard it. Home Again is a little sad, interesting, exciting, funny and just overall a great episode

I think Connie has always had a crush on Jason (as we all know from Love is in the Air) and Jason is just glad to see her in this episode. Penny is simply immature. Even though I've always had a soft spot for Jason and Connie, I don't know that AIO will put them together. And I wouldn't be grossed out if they got married...it's only a 10 year difference.
After all, Jason and Tasha are someday gonna tie the knot anyways. Who said anything about Monika Stone, anyways? She's a complete betrayer!
