The epic conclusion of the Odyssey blizzard!
Actually, “epic” is not the word I would use. This was an interesting episode, but I do have a few problems with it. :anxious:

The scenes with Buck and Jules in the school were interesting. I was surprised that they began food fighting each other, though. Very immature, I expected better from them. :noway: We need an episode where the high school opens and Principal Solly finds a huge mess and Buck and Jules have to clean it up.

I liked Wyatt in this episode. We’re learning a lot of facts about him, such as him being over-prepared, carrying Meals Ready To Eat and first aid kits and airhorns with him everywhere. The part where he explains the method of coming down the roof and Jules is like, “Why are we learning vocabulary words right now?” was great.

I had predicted that Wyatt would turn out to be the injured kid from “The Snow Must Go On”, but it turns out I was wrong. I was not expecting Jules to be the one to get injured in this episode.

The scenes with Whit and Wooton looking for Wyatt were interesting. And we learn that Wooton now owns a snowmobile. That’s pretty cool. I hope we hear it in future episodes.

Although this episode had some good moments, there is one problem I have. Allow me to go on a rant.

I was very surprised when it started with a parental warning. However, although this episode contains a parental warning and an intense situation with Jules almost dying, I really wasn’t drawn into it because of the fact that it is an Adventures in Odyssey Club exclusive episode. The Odyssey Team can’t make anything important happen in the Club episodes because it will affect those who are not members of the Club. They can make in-the-moment disasters happen, such as Jules having a brain injury, but they can’t do anything with it. They have to resolve it within that episode, or else they’ll be seriously affecting those who are not members of the AIO Club. I knew as I was listening that it would all end well, solely because the episode is a Club exclusive episode. If it had been in a mainstream album, then I certainly would have been drawn into it more and probably would’ve liked it better. But because it’s in a nothing-is-allowed-to-happen Club episode, my enjoyment was severely impeded. The Club exclusive episodes are becoming problems to Odyssey’s overall stories. Something needs to be done. But that’s another post for another topic for another time.

Chris’ wraps at the end seemed a little disconnected from the episode to me. She basically says that with God’s help and with friend’s help, we can get through the tough times. This is relevant, but I don’t think this theme is extremely present in this episode. The theme of God's mercy and protection was much more prominent, and I think Chris should've focused on that more. But that's just a minor unnecessary nitpick I had. Chris is cool, and she did an excellent job with the intro/wraps, as she always does.

Overall, although I had problems with this episode, I thought it was fine. I liked it better than “Snow ‘Em Who’s Boss”, but from all four of the episodes in this blizzard series, “The Snow Must Go On” remains my favorite.
