So! New Kathy Buchanan episode! I don't have much to say about this one without really getting into it, but I thought it was okay.
Bradford returning to his role as a butler for some reason reminded me of the plight of the house-elves in Harry Potter. I dunno, that's just me.

I thought it was a pretty good episode overall. Not perhaps the most sound implementation of the plot, but fun and easy to listen to with the "Wooton/Penny" atmosphere, interesting characters, and a good concept.

It's not a point that gets expressly hit on here, but it shows that sometimes people make rash decisions, especially under emotional duress, without fully thinking through the possibilities and consequences. Bradford meant well, but if he was thinking more clearly, he probably would have realized that leaving wouldn't help, but rather just make people more upset. For that matter, Wooton and Penny tried to be very accommodating, but they tended to make assumptions instead of taking the time to really understand what their guests wanted. If they had spent less time trying to do things and more communicating it might've gone more smoothly.

It's interesting to note that Bradford's actor is (starting from Out of The Picture) the same as the actor for Wooton's father Winston. Considering that I mostly remember Bradford from "For the Fun of It" it takes a little bit of getting used to. It isn't a bad portrayal by any means, just more lively.
A classic never goes out of style.
