OAC Episode Discussion

So? the odyssey adventure club, are you planing on joining? what do you think about it? for $180 is it worth it for you? I think it sounds like a great Idea... but I don't know how many club members they'll get. I would love to join, but for $15 dollars a month... IDk I know it's not much, but it adds up.

I think it's a great idea, although $15 a month seems like a lot. It should be more like Netflix instant- $8, or even $5. Well, $15 doesn't seem like so much but when it adds up....

I think the idea's great but there's a lot of execution stuff that still needs to be worked on. I signed up for updates too! I think, when you compare the $15 price to Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime prices, that the cost definitely needs to go down since there's not as much material (but 700+ episodes is nothing to sneeze at), but hopefully Focus'll address it soon.

How do you guys feel about having exclusive Odyssey Adventure Club episodes and one regular album during the year?

Personally, I'm not planning to pay for access to the Club. I enjoy and listen to the older episodes more, so getting exclusive access to new episodes doesn't motivate me to pay $15 a month. Access to all the episodes is tempting, because I don't own them all, but still not worth it.

I don't mind only having one album released per year. It does depend on how interconnected the Club episodes are to the other regular albums. If the special episodes contain information crucial to understanding the other albums, that's an entirely different idea.

Anyway, I'm so thinking about getting a subscription

Also, I would rather own all the episodes on CD, rather than pay for a subscription to listen to all the episodes on my computer.

I'm still mad about one regular album a year Most, if not all, fans are not going to be able to afford that. I would just get a month sub at the end of the year just to have all those exclusive episodes xD

Do you know if later in the year (December 2014 or after), when all the exclusive episodes are released, would you be able to go back and listen to them? And just pay $15 at the end of the year instead of $15 throughout the year? Or do you have to pay to be in the club before January 2014 is over?

Besides, I bet FotF will release the exclusive episodes sometime in 2015. >.> And then the people who payed $180 in 2014 will be mad. xD

I'm really hoping that your right. And you should be able to do that. I mean, if a person joined a few months after it starts, they should be able to catch up on the exclusive episodes, right?

Yeah....not for 15 bucks a month. They need to give much more to make me pay. I already own every episode, why should I pay just for some extra ones. I think the whole AIO Club episodes is kind of dumb anyways. At some point I'm just gonna get them from my friends, or hear it from there club account.

I figure that since most of you are young teens, your parents would say no to the $15/month. But if that's how they are going to charge us, then I will pay. If we have to pay for the full year up front, then no thank you. I am going to have to wait and see how this will work out. I love the idea of the OAC just for us fans of the show.

I got a response from the people at focus on the family and they clarified that it IS going to be $15/mo. So you guys should think about it.

Enh, I'll probably sign up for it. Although 15/mo is pushing it. I mean, compared to other things I'm signed up for like Wretched Radio (thousands of hours on demand for $6/mo). And Netflix (hundreds of movies on demand for $8/mo), $15 is a bit expensive. Oh well.
