I read somewhere in the Bible that hating your brother is the same as murder in Gods eyes. But does He really count something like gossiping the same as killing someone? I know God can't love anyone less or more, that's not what I'm saying....... I was just wondering some of your guys opinions on the matter.

Well, Sin is sin. There is no such thing as a little white lie. Nor is there greater sins than others.
It is all doing wrong. And, If we do any wrong, No matter what it is, We must repent and ask God of forgiveness. Man was made in the image of God. However....
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Man has turned it's face from God, And is now evil on it's own. We must say no to the constant temptation of our flesh. And side with the spirit. Each wrong is wrong. No matter what form it comes in. No matter what we do, We need to ask God for forgiveness and be made whole again.

All sin is the same in the sense that as soon as you sin, you're separated from God, but there are still different levels of sin when it comes to practical earthly punishment. Would you punish a man the same way for stealing a candy bar as you would one who murdered an entire village of starving African children? Nope, because one is obviously worse than the other. Even the Bible has many different punishments for different sins because different sins are worse on a technical level.
