Strict adherence to the letter of the law was what the failed covenant of the Old Testament was about, Christ came to change that. He spoke against legalism, like the pharisees practiced.

I'm a woman, if you couldn't tell from the pink symbol in the sidebar beside my post.Mr. Yorp wrote:I can't tell if he is being sarcastic.
Agreed with Eleventh. Adherence to the law of the Lord should be an outpouring of the Holy Spirit's work in you, not placed on an equal plane to it.
it's not about 'deserve'. it's about what you believe. and i believe in love
Also Paul is referring there to a completely cut of hair. He never says never to cut hair.

Adem and Eve's glory was taken from them and they were naked.
...Yeah. Most people are naked at one point or another. I don't get your point.
And what does that have to do with hair?

All I can say is that we are under Grace and not the law! Christ died so that we don't have to wear weird clothes or not cut our hair or whatever. Most of the verses mentioned here are from the Old Testament which is from the law.

Not to go off topic, but do you believe that we no longer have to keep the Ten Commandments?
What shall we say then? Is the [messianic] law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law:

No, it's A very good thing to keep the 10 Commandments. However if we break one of them we won't have to pay the same sacrifices as the Jews in that time did.Mr. Whit's End wrote:Not to go off topic, but do you believe that we no longer have to keep the Ten Commandments?
@mr York: all of the Bible is written for us but not all of it is written to us.

Acts 15 explains this discussion the best.

You are a sick person if you think rape is okay.
I do not think it is okay, but you can't seem to tell me it isn't.
