The Soda Shop Message Boards

The Soda Shop turns 7 years old on May 9th of this year! To celebrate the amazing community we have built here together, we will be having our first ever official chat party in the Odyssey Chatroom. Bring your friends, and your friends' friends, as this will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with other Soda Shoppers, new and old.

For those of you who have attended the ToO Christmas chatroom parties, I hope to create a similar experience with our event. One of my first experiences on the chat was the 2012 Christmas party. I didn't know what to expect going into it, but it ended up being one of the most wonderfully zany and joyous online events I've participated in.
....•Old members of the board were able to interact with newbies, bridging the generational gap of the ToO
....•snubs organized fun games for us like Scattergories and trivia
....•After a somewhat rocky start to the relationship between the ToO and SS in 2012 (in no small part thanks to yours truly ),
......the chat party brought us together
....•The event revitalized the chat itself and drove ongoing activity

Everyone on the board is invited, and I will hope to see as many as possible of you there. I will also extend an invitation to the ToO, and those separated brethren who are not currently active on the Soda Shop. Please RSVP in the poll or thread below, and offer any suggestions you can think of for what we can do to make the chat party a fun and welcoming experience for everyone.

GAMES:
ToOer bookworm programmed a chat gaming bot, so we can play Uno, Apples to Apples, Codenames, and more in the #gameroom channel! I will also plan to run Scattergories during the party.

Central: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Pacific: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Ghana: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

I'd absolutely love to, but it also happens to be my dad's birthday and we might be having a party for him, too. Otherwise, I'm normally on the chat when I'm on the computer so I'll definitely be there for what I can.
