Posting what rank you have received, or that you are almost at a certain rank is considered spam.

Instead, you could post somewhere else, and add a note there that you are at a certain rank. :)

So I have 214 posts and Shnoodlec has 436. How become we have the same rank? Does the ranking chart start over, or does the rank not change from 200-400?

I hate those notes. They interfere with the point of whatever topic they are mentioned in as everyone stops to congratulate the person. They belong on a single topic, like this one.
