Suppose you could have any character introduce the show. Here are a few of my takes:

"Hi, this is Jay Smouse and I wanted to invite you... kind of... to a time of wonder, excitement, and yada yada. So join us for Adventures in Oh-dissy... I mean Odyssey. Whatever."

"Good evening, I'm Mrs. Kramer. Since you have a dull drab life, much like mine, so much so you are actually listening to the intro to a boring children's program, welcome to a time of wonder, excitement and discovery... supposedly. Welcome to Adventures in Odyssey. Go away now."

"Oh, hey there. I'm Liz Horton. I'd like to invite you to a place of wonder and excitement. But then things are always that way with Jared around... anyone would wonder about him. But anyhow, please join us for adventures in Odyssey... while I go find where Jared hid my purse he's so intelligently sure is a bomb."

"Hey there, this is Emily Jones, the best character in Odyssey, and three time winner of Character of the Week. Oh, and by the way, I also have my own fan website. I'd like you to join us for what surely will be a time of wonder, adventure, and excitement... since I'll be here. And everyone loves me!"

I like Jay's and Mrs. Kramer's, but Emily's was waynotbetter!
