@I<3Wooton: I believe it was because that people didn't like the Mulligan family. That took out all of the episodes he could be seen at home. Then he got a job at Whit's End. He truly was a relatable character, and I think that is why the writers kept him on for several albums after the rest of his family was removed. Eventually, possibly due to the age of the actor, or just the AIO team deciding to move on, he was forgotten.
