Birthday Cake or Pie?

Kinda curious. Birthday cake or birthday pie? Personally I've leaned more to pie as of late.

I enjoy both, it just depends on the type and how well they're made. My personal favorite is German chocolate cake, but a homemade pie is going to trump a grocery store cake any day of the week.
Speaking of which, I just attempted to make a chocolate cake without any measuring spoons or correctly sized pans. It's an abysmal failure.

I like pie best, especially pumpkin. My favorite part of cake is the frosting. I do like chocolate cake...anything chocolate.
Unless you mean cheesecake, then I might prefer that....I only have it like a few times a year, probably a good thing.
