Thanksgiving/Thankfulness

What is it that you are looking forward to this Thanksgiving? Is it the warm feeling you get from sitting on the couch and chatting with your family and friends? Is it the good food? Is it watching the parade on TV? Or maybe you like to help your mom or grandma in the kitchen as they get the meal ready.
Also, what are you thankful for this year? Tell me!
~~~~~~~
I am looking forward to helping my mom and sister-in-law in the kitchen, playing with my nephews and niece, and relaxing in the living room.
I am thankful for many, many things this year. My family, my friends, a warm, dry house, my dog, cars and transportation, my health, Jesus and God, books, Adventures in Odyssey. And probably more, but I can't think of anything else now. I will probably remember something else later. :lol: :D
This year I'm looking forward to sitting around playing card games/board games with family and friends. It's sort of the only constant thing we've had, battling over coffee table and drinking coffee. It's not something anyone makes a fuss of, it's just for the camaraderie and conversation.
And pie, my mom bakes this Chocolate Silk pie. It is to die for! :wacky:
I'm thankful for many things, God's grace, my family, the friendships I've made this year, even the ones on here. :)
My mom also makes a really good pie. Her pecan, pumpkin, blueberry, triple-berry, cherry, peach, and apple pies are all WONDERFUL!!!
*Warning, downer post here, be warned*
Well, my grandpa is dying, so my mom left for what appears to be about a month on Tuesday to be with him (not sure if she'll be home for Christmas), so we're not having Thanksgiving because even though I offered to help cook, my dad doesn't want to do anything. So instead, I was going to spend the day catching up on the [censored] ton of homework I have because all of my teachers assigned huge tests/assignments due on Monday or Tuesday, but I just got grounded. Because my dad told me that today, on Thanksgiving day, I had to decorate the entire house for Christmas, even though I've never done it, and when I asked why my brothers wouldn't have to do anything, he said it was because I was a girl, and when I told him how sexist that was, I got all my stuff taken away. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
I guess right now I'm thankful for our family computer, where I can try and get some of my studying done, because my dad took away my computer as well despite 50% of my classes being online.
*end downer post*
Though, to get this happy again, I am thankful today for my interweb friends, namely Jared, Montie ( :inlove: ), Will, and Ryan. And the love of my life, Sam <3 They've been helping me a lot with some tough times and are all around great, 10/10 would recommend. And of course, I'm thankful for all of you; even if we don't talk, this board cheers me up and is fun to be on.
My fam also watches a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving the day before Thanksgiving \:D/
I'm thankful for my friends here and on the ToO, and that I'm out of school, and that most of my family lives so closeby, which makes holidays with family easier :)
