Inspired by the Personal Quirks thread, you can share traditions you have and particularities of the family, of which there are probably many :) .

What are yours? Do you have any crazy stories or silly quirks?
_____________
We always have the windows open in our house, since it is incredibly well insulated and there are a few members, myself included, who easily are overheated or don't enjoy the feeling of being stuffed up.

My parents and my older siblings are obsessed with ice tea. It is constantly being drunk, and we make a new batch at least once a week. I can't stand the taste though. :noway:

this is not really a ''family'' thing but

my older brother brooks used to flip me upside down and let me walk on the ceiling so to this day we still have footprints on the ceiling lol
he also used to turn me upside down and swing me back and forth like a grandfather clock we were weird it was awesome though

My dad takes longer shopping than my mother. He also has more shoes and clothing... Don't ask me why.

That sounds funny  , and actually, that completely counts as a "family" thing. :)
It is a bit like what I do with my younger brothers, one in particular I am constantly carrying upside down or upon a single shoulder. People find it strange since it's more often a guy will do that to a sibling, at least what I've been told from. *shrugs*

Huh...my dad also takes longer than my mom. Although her side of the closet is fuller.
*turns on harsh bright light and leans in* Why is this Blitz? TELL ME WHY?
Just joking ;)

I'm not sure if this is like...relevant, but when my family goes somewhere in public and my brother gets mad at me, he'll start beating me up and people look like...o.O

A sister of mine yells in public, literally, she has no filter and it takes a little patience not to snap when people are staring. I try always to stay calm amd collected, so usually I'll roll over to deepening my voice enough to distract the both of us. 8)

My mom is a perfectionist, which is where I inherited the trait. :D
We eat pizza more than we should probably.
Does anyone else keep ice cream in their freezer during the fall or winter? Right now we have Neapolitan, Cookies and Cream, and Chocolate Chunk ice cream.

I had icecream once when it was freezing in Switzerland.

My dad hate hanging stuff in the house.

My youngest brother will throw a toy at you in anger one moment, and literally the next second he'll hug you.

Ahh...my second to youngest sibling also does that. He has sensory issues and is constantly experiencing mood swings based on his surroundings. I love him though. :)

Stories:
When we were younger, Ben (Nelson S) and I once grabbed a bar of soap and sang, "I wish, I wish with all my heart to fly with dragon in a land apart." Then opened are eyes and we were sadly disappointed. #DragonTales

Quirks:
If you start singing any song, you will hear a chorus of all 6 of us singing it! xD

My whole family hates talking to people on the phone.

Similar story - We used to have this cabinet with clear glass in our house. It also came with a lock and key to store glass dishes safety. After reading the Indian in the Cupboard series, My older siblings had an idea. They took my favourite dolls, G.I Joes and Barbies and left them locked in the Cupboard.
Then I was told to walk away though returned shortly, not having the patience to wait. Of course, they probably all knew I'd be disappointed...yet took advantage of my naivete and got my hopes up.
It was in fact saddening when I returned to the same inanimate objects as before. Still, I tried over and over...until I lost what little faith I had in magic. :(

I don't know whether or not this is a quirk...my mom spends literally hours talking on the phone. O.o I can barely think enough to ask about the weather.

I did the same thing!!! I loved dragon tales!!!I would also do it with any rock that looked right I wanted so much to fly on dragons this is what got me to love how to train your dragon so much I guess I have always loved dragons!

when I was a baby I LOVED my binky and when my mom was trying to get me off of it (when I was about 1-1 1/2) she would not give it to me at night and at the time I was sharing a room with my sister (I had been since I was born until I was 12) so my mom would take it away at night and I would cry and cry so my sister (Megan who was about 6 at the time) would get out of bed and give it to me so she could sleep and it was only last year that my mom found out about this she was like I thought you were doing so well without it

when I got rid of my binky I got a speical toddler bed the head board was bear head the sides to keep you from falling off were his arms and the bottom or foot board was the bears feet and every night I would say goodnight and every morning I would say good morning it was blue and I LOVED it until my sister and I had to share a bunk bed :( but then I could always make a tent out of blankets :D

Aww... :(
I had a toddler bed like that for a few years. My parents thought it was clever I made my bed every morning, tucking in the sheets into the mattress and everything  .
