To Close or Not To Close

Post

Do you like to sleep with your bedroom door open or closed? Personally, I'm a door closed type of person. But, being at dads, closing the door really affects the temperature in the back bedroom and adjoining bathroom. It's more of a peaceful thing for me than a security type thing. Thoughts?

At home, I keep mine open; I feel less closed-in that way, since my room is pretty small, and I like being open to the whole house. (I also like to have my window open; I like being close to nature.) At college, though, I keep the door closed; it allows for more privacy, and if I'm listening to or watching something, the sound is blocked by the door.

I definitely prefer my door closed, but my car scratches at it all night if I do that. So cracked open, it is.

EDIT: My CAT scratches. Cat. Not car. That would be weird.

Closed of course. How else do you keep all the haunting ghosts and murderers with knives out? :P

My (our) bedroom door doesn't latch, so we're very vulnerable to those murderers. Anyway also in the summer without the door open (since we don't have central air conditioning) it gets steamy in there, so we leave it open.

I actually feel more secure with the door open, so that I can see the monster coming; my mortal fear is having the door closed and seeing/hearing it open, or waking up to it open...<shivers>.

At home it's usually closed, but as I have no lock, I can't lock it and have no need to.

At school, it's always closed and locked at night.

I keep my door open, because of our cat and because it gets hot, and my parents also like it. I only close it when I practice music.

I keep my door open, unless I'm in my room, then I close it. But, since I have so many siblings with no knocking abilities, the door is basically open all the time. -_-

I feel better when it's closed, my family is really noisy and when I'm working on something I'd prefer not to be distracted.

As Ninjahunter, of course not! :noway:

In real life, I do have times when I fear the dark, lol.

Um....closed. And probably sound-proof. Because....reasons.

NinjaHunter, you are a wimp. :P There's nothing better than the door creaking open as the monster's silhouette becomes visible through the crack. :D

This made me curious—does anyone else listen to music (or, say, episodes of a certain radio drama that certainly no one on here has ever heard of) while they fall asleep?

Yes, I do!
I have an adorable mint green ipod shuffle I'll listen to at night, it works because it takes months for it to lose power  . I usually play the certain radio drama, the other night I actually fell asleep to The Search For Whit :jason .

I used to, because I found it relaxing. (It also covers up the footsteps of the monsters scrabbling around in the crawl-spaces). However, the other occupants of the room found it distracting. :( Now I just settle for reading on my phone until I drop off mid-sentence.
