Love Languages - What are yours?

Wuddup peoples.

Given the background of this board, I imagine many of you have heard of the Love Languages, written about by Christian author Gary Chapman. I, myself, have never read the book, but I've taken the quiz several times and find it all QUITE INTRIGUING.

Disclaimer: This is not a dating thing, it is a "know thyself" thing. If you read about it, it clarifies that "someone you love" could be a family member or friend, besides a love interest. This is about getting to know oneself and others around you. I find it fascinating and helpful in my dealings with others...once you know your love languages, and they know theirs, communication and understanding can skyrocket.

I'd like to know what all of your results are, if you care to share.

The quiz is free, and though it "requires" an e-mail, you can just put "test@test.com"...you do not need to access the e-mail account you provide in order to receive your results; they are instantaneous at the end of the quiz.

If you're interested, click yonder link: http://www.5lovelanguages.com/ Hit "Discover Your Love Language", choose "Myself", whether you're Single or in a Relationship, enter your fake info, and ponder the deep questions of the heart! :wacky:

Kindly copy and paste Your Scores from the left side when you have finished. Discuss!

Your mom is super nice, I'd love to hang with her again.

I know touch is super high for me, bit I haven't taken the test in a while.

I personally would rank Acts of Service above Quality Time, but *shrugs*. Though I'm not at all surprised that I got 0 in Physical Touch seeing as how I greatly dislike being touched.

I took this with the bae a few months ago and we both have the same top three :p These all seem pretty accurate. Especially the acts of service, I don't really like when people do things for me that they wouldn't enjoy.

This is so messed up. :x I don't really care about if people ignore me the whole time, and do I beg for gifts? No. And I give a lot of hugs, why is physical touch at 2? :noway:

Having Reciving Gifts high-ranked doesn't mean you beg for them, it just indicates that you appreciate the thought and care that goes into someone giving you something. Not saying this necessarily describes you, but what how I think the Reciving Gifts "language" is supposed to mean.

I agree with Rosy, it doesn't mean you beg for gifts or are greedy in any way. It means that when someone gives you a gift, it lights you up. It means if I went to the grocery store tomorrow, and saw Lifesavers, and remembered you love those, and bought them for you, that would make you feel all glowy and happy inside. Similarly, if someone forgot your birthday, you may feel completely awful and unimportant. So it's not about greediness, it's just about what makes you feel loved and important, or if there is a lack of it, what makes you feel bad and unimportant.

Like for me as long as you remember to make my birthday special I don't really care about gifts.
