Hey I am starting a new Sci-Fi book series I have several ideas but I can't get a book going. So I have the design of my space ship figured out and my main characters name is Luna and my robots are ''designed'' but other then that I am stumped!
I need suggestions in these areas!
1: The space ships name
2: Character/robot names
3: The series name- my idea the Star Walkers
4: Planets names
5: Some scientific calculations!
6: Space suit designs
7: Alien designs
So if you have a story idea I will consider it!
So guys help.

I love writing and would give suggestions but this sort of writing is way out of my depth. I know nothing about science fiction.
So is what you need a plot or just some ideas to get the story going?

Ya it's not my comfort zone but I had an inspiration and drew a bunch of robots and wanted to use them so
And I need a little of both

Here is one random idea I came up with.
Start out the book with a mystery. Like a mysterious disappearance that kicks the story off. That's attention grabbing. And if you need a plot, have the mysterious character finally show at the end of the book.

Whenever I'm trying to name things, I tend to go to the googletranslate website and use Greek or Latin words that mean...well, whatever you have in mind for the thing you're trying to name.

I usually build ideas in my mind for awhile. If it doesn't last long there I know I can't write it.

Like your doing now,

, I often go to my close friends or people I know for help. I am attempting to write a book as well, and often I have to just force myself to write, and then go back later and perfect it. I also find a lot of inspiration in nature, and in reading other books of the same genre. Oh, and you said you need ideas for a spacesuit, right? Who would the spacesuit be for, 'cause I have some ideas.

Like MnM said, I find the best way to break my writers' block is to just force myself to write. If the scene I end up with is no good, I either perfect it, or throw it out and start over. I oftentimes end up actually liking what I write, though.
If all else fails, I take some time off to puzzle it out in my head. I've been working on a particularly tough problem (Time travel paradox) for at least a month now. But I'm finally almost ready to write it, methinks.

Do you want the spacesuit to look like an actual spacesuit, or just be, like, a normal outfit with some resemblance to a normal spacesuit?

When I am naming characters in my novels and stories, imagine how the character acts and feels and try to name it fittingly. I'll try to sketch a drawing for a suit, if you would like. I have no idea when I could get it to you, with school starting up and all, but I'll try!

Sometimes when I have trouble naming my characters I get a name book and look through it. They have so many interesting names. Are you looking for unusual names or more common ones?

Yes Emma! Anything like that. My main character is Luna. And I want to use Miranda [that's a moon I think ] And I'm trying to decide if any planet names sound good as people/alien names?

Appently the video game maker and I have something in common.... Which video game? I was just suggesting it from a book I wrote. I have never heard that before my stories.

WOW you guys are great!
Sorry MnM! I think I want a mix of "space suit" and normal clothes. I thought like a bike skort with capri pants underneath, a necked shirt with buttons on it?
And I could'n decide on Jupiter as name but I do kinda like it!

Several series. I don't remember the specifics. The only reason I know that fact is because of a friend of mine is an extreme zelda fan.
