Re: OAC Episode Discussion

Renee came back for this month's episode! I thought her role in this one was a massive improvement over the other episode(s?) that had her as a main character. Spoilers. Her trauma with the horse made sense. For the character, anyway. No farms with horses, much less horse trainers , would let anyone...

Re: Have A Heart

I really want to give my unsolicited opinions on this episode but I still have yet to listen to it as a whole. But from what I've heard, yeah, I'm not that big on Buddy, either. How could he possibly go from, "this person is nicer," to "it was obviously the heart transplant"? Doe...

Re: Friend Or Foe

I've always loved character foils that are more than simply "differing personalities and they clash because of it" so having character arcs mirror the other is something I constantly look for in fiction. AtLA's Aang and Zuko really made me start setting the bar really high for things like ...

Re: Friend Or Foe

I personally like this episode over Under the Influence. Why do you prefer this episode over Under the Influence? Is it just personal taste, or are there several reasons you can pinpoint? I prefer Under the Influence over Friend or Foe because its stakes are higher and it's paced better. A lot of A...

Re: Friend Or Foe

It has the same premise as Under the Influence, but the stakes are much lower, and Under the Influence was a better episode. And this is coming from someone who's not very big on Aubrey. This episode isn't bad, it's actually pretty decent, but I'm getting tired of Jules. I liked her when she was fir...

Re: The Legend of Zelda

Triforce Heroes is actually really fun to play if you get two friends with you. Fortunately, download play works with it, although the people playing it via download are only permitted to have two outfits. It is insanely boring to watch, however. The best (worst?) part is that you share hearts, you ...

Re: OAC Episode Discussion

Wow, was the new one really that awful? I only listened to snippets of it and don't really know what it was supposed to be about. But what I do remember, it did feel like it was trying too hard to make you laugh. Because ~~ shenanigans~~!

Re: Odyssey Conundrums

To add to that, if you look at the cover for the album cover for Into the Light, they look pretty similar. You can only see the lower half of Leonard's face, but they still clearly have some resemblance.

Re: Album 63: Up in the Air

I don't see in any way, shape, or form that Wooton would just up and dump Penny like that. I think that summary might be deliberately trying to mislead us and the fact that the summary has an exclamation point at the end of the sentence means it probably won't be too dramatic. I guess you could say ...

Re: Opinion on Post-Novacom

I didn't know that people sent hate towards those albums either. I knew that people had to re-adjust to the slice-of-life thing after Novacom was over courtesy of TV Tropes, but I actually really enjoyed those albums. A lot . I enjoy slice-of-life stories because they can just keep going and going a...

Re: The Meltsner family

Right now, I think they just need to focus on Buck and his role in the family, especially since we still see he's not sure about what said role is, and I don't think Eugene and Katrina are entirely sure either; they're still getting used to each other, I think. If they added such a big thing like th...

Re: 6 Episode Albums?

They have way less time to flesh out the album's story arc and the albums suffer badly from it. They need to go back to 12 episodes.

Re: Legacy MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ALBUM 62 READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

Belle pretty much spoke my mind. These episodes have absolutely no structure. The second part is some of the worst, if not the worst Mood Whiplash the series has ever pulled. I usually don't mind it because it's so funny a lot of the time, but the first part had a clear tone: a bit melancholy and ve...

I'm inclined to go with IMDb on this one. Wikipedia is a lot easier to edit and get wrong.

Re: Connie the Conselor

Biological, then. Fifteen years is a really long time to keep quiet about your kid, sheesh. And she was born so soon after (…or before, perhaps?) Bill's divorce from June? Dang. This little detail is really distracting me, I'm sorry. Yeah, it makes sense why Connie would be uncomfortable if Eugene b...

Your fan commentary is making me want to listen to the episode again. cx I love that kind of analysis. I wrote WALLS OF TEXT of me gushing about how amazing "Old Tricks" was so...yeah... No regrets! =D What you mentioned about Buck being caught and his different reactions shows growth in h...

Re: Connie the Conselor

If Jules is 15 and Connie is 28-29, she had to have been 13 when Jules was born. …Around the time Connie's parents got a divorce, if I remember correctly. Do we know if Jules is Connie's stepsister, or biological sister? I thought it would be a little weird if Jules called a man she met when she was...

Or Odyssey is simply a town out of the normal space-time continuum and everyone who leaves has their years spent in Odyssey catch up to them so they die and never come back, leaving the people still in town (and the listeners) confused on what happened to them. …Huh, that got a lot darker than I wan...

Re: OAC Episode Discussion

I agree pretty much with PennyBassett. There are certainly a few "???" moments, and the lesson, moral, and storyline are overdone but it's okay. Even though it didn't bring anything new to the table as far as the premise goes, I still had fun with it. Also, the title was a pun. Extra point...
