I will.
If you don't take the creation account literally, how do you know the story of Moses and the Hebrews is literal? It's in the same book....it would effect a lot today.

Re: Should Christians (Followers of Jesus) go to War?

Well I suppose I mean we have a chance to live the Kingdom, but we aren't "in" the Kingdom yet. We are still living in the world, where Satan is in authority. We live by the Kingdom rules, and serve our King Jesus, but we are strangers and foreigners here on this earth. So...do you believ...

Re: The Rapture..

Good thing the theory of evolution isn't based solely on Darwin then. You can hold to what belief you want, for me though it seems unusual this obvious doctrine went unnoticed for so many centuries. Well, I'm glad that isn't your only hope. Ok, I'm gonna stick to my belief, but people are so often ...

Re: The Rapture..

Darwin is just one part of the theory of evolution, some of these discoveries were only possible due to recent archaeological and paleontology discoveries. Where as the Bible has been around for much longer without the rapture being written about. Darwins "discoveries" was actually limite...

Re: The Rapture..

I find it funny that you don't believe in the rapture because people don't have historical documents from a few hundred years ago, and Darwin created his Origin of Species around the same time.

Re: Once Saved always Saved?

So you're saying baptism is just a public statement of faith? If that's true, why can't I just go out into the street and scream "I'M A CHRISTIAN AND I LOVE JESUS!"? Besides, we should be showing our faith through our actions, not just being dunked under water. 11th Doctor: yes. Being bap...

Re: Once Saved always Saved?

Eleventh Doctor wrote:So what's the point of getting baptized then?
The point is to show everyone around you that you're following Christ. It's a great thing to do. John the Baptist was baptized by Jesus, and he baptized Jesus himself. It's kind of like an announcement, or statement he was making.

Re: Biblical Inerrancy

For one thing, some the books have different styles and some Gospels lack important information provided in others. If God dictate the Bible, he's remarkably inconsistent. Each gospel was written for a different purpose. Mark was for the Romans, John to prove the diety of Christ, Matthew to the Jew...

Re: The Rapture..

Eleventh Doctor wrote:I find that to be a silly technicality. Christ is coming back and when He does that's it, He doesn't just come in the air and that doesn't count.
There's another reason. Christ is coming back for all believers that time. The first and second coming is when he comes back for all people.

Re: Once Saved always Saved?

We have to repent when we sin yes. We don't have to believe again because we have already done that. It's not impossible for nothing is impossible with God. If we don't have to be baptized why did Jesus tell the disciples to go out and be baptised in his name? And why does it say in Acts:2:38 "...

No! I'm not suggesting that! I meant that towards unbelievers!
No. God isn't coming to earth, we are meeting him in the air

Eleventh Doctor wrote:I disagree that it was written directly by God. I think it was inspired but not written directly.
Of course it was inspired by God; quite a few verses prove that. God simple used people such as Moses to write down what exactly what God wanted. It is Gods Word to man.

Re: Once Saved always Saved?

I believe a lot of people are in heaven even with my belief. We don't have to be continually repenting because we aren't continually sinning. I haven't missed the point at all. I think that the point is being over exaggerated, Christ died so we might have life, sin is what Christ frees us from, but...

Re: Creationism or Evolutionism.

The book of Genesis certainly doesn't sound poetic to me, and such accounts like creation, Moses, the Israelites, etc... Are very historical. In fact, by the time Jewish boys were 12, they had to memorize the first 5 books, their Jewish history. In what ways are we evolving? How do you know? So, if w...
