Re: What Books Are You Reading?

The Shakespeare Stealer is a great book. We listened to it as an audiobook for school, and we loved it. I just finished all the currently released Tales of Goldstone Wood series by Anne Elisabeth Stengl! They are AWESOME!!! I absolutely LOVE Eanrin! He is officially my new favorite character, next t...

Starflower's Art

I thought I'd post a topic of my various drawings and other artwork. I only have one on my computer now, but hopefully soon I'll post more.

Here's one I did last June for a contest. It's supposed to be a pregnant horse, drawn with graphite and colored pencil.

Re: What Books Are You Reading?

Helios, you like the Christian Heritage series by Nancy Rue? That is the only series of books my brother will read! (unless he's forced to for school) I've read all of the Santa Fe Years, and one of them (I think it was the last one) was so heartbreaking it made me cry. The Santa Fe years are pretty...

Re: What Books Are You Reading?

I got and finished Heartless by Anne Elisabeth Stengl yesterday. Yes, I finished it in a few hours. Speed reading is both a gift and a curse. But I enjoyed the book. It had some good allegory, and I like the world that it's set in, and am really excited to discover more about it in the rest of the T...

Did you get your name from Bard Eanrin in the Tales of Goldstone Wood by Anne Elisabeth Stengl?

Re: What Books Are You Reading?

Stella C., You've read Outcasts? Have you read Captives as well? Was it a good book? I'm interested in reading them, but I'm kind of cautious when starting a completely new series by a completely new author, but I've heard several good things about them. I'm currently reading the Silmarillion by J.R...

Re: What song is stuck in your head right now?

Let's see, yesterday I had "ABC Cafe/Red and Black", "On My Own", "Castle on a Cloud", "I Dreamed a Dream", "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables", "Do You Hear the People Sing?", "One Day More", "Master of the House", "Sta...

Re: What Books Are You Reading?

Ameraka, you've read Amish Vampires in Space? How was it? I've only heard about it, though it definitely sounds interesting. Did you like it? I just finished Through the Balustrade by Mary Beth Dahl, a Christian fantasy YA novel by someone who went to college with my mom. :) It was pretty good, some...

Re: Random Chat

I thought the debate was great. I thought Ken Ham did a good job, though my dad thinks he could have done better. Bill Nye didn't really answer some of the questions and kept on ignoring some of what Ken Ham said. Overall I thought it was worth watching.

Re: Is man basically good, or basically evil?

If you don't believe that God cursed the earth, then what is he doing in these verses? Genesis 3:14-24 (ESV) 14 The LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat...

Re: Random Chat

It snowed all day yesterday and we ended up getting around 4 inches of snow. This morning it was -2 degrees! There's still a lot of snow on the ground. It was so pretty, I love how everything looks when it snows. I don't like the cold, but snow is so beautiful it makes up for the cold.

Re: Starflower1234's Stuff

Okay. I couldn't find the right words to explain it at first, but here's a (hopefully) better explanation. Dressage is an equestrian sport that involves learning many patterns that you do in different combinations in different tests to move up through the levels, from the beginning levels (that I ca...

Re: Frozen (2013)

I still haven't seen it either, but I really, really, really want to, and hopefully we might see it next week. I heard Do You Want to Build a Snowman? on someone's iPod and that night I had to look up the video of it. I love it! And then my brother started looking up other clips and songs from Froze...

Re: Starflower1234's Stuff

It's been a long time since I updated this. Anyway, here's a brief summary of what's happened with my rabbits: Star is currently taking care of her second litter of seven bunnies, every one of which is jet black and one has a little white on both of its front paws. I've discovered that baby bunnies ...

Re: Blackgaard's Revenge -- A hit or miss?

I don't think it's unreasonable, in a made-up story, especially a kind of sci-fi story, for a computer program to 'take over' or 'possess', in a way, a person. I can think of at least one movie that has that in its plot. And if he did 'take over' Aubrey, hurting him could very well hurt her. While s...
