Timothy Center to host camp for Connellsville youth
The popular Timothy Center plans to host a
week-long camp for teenagers from the lower income areas of Connellsville,
including primarily Oswald Heights. The camp is the first in a series of
planned events for disadvantaged youth.
"I think that a week of fellowship out in the woods will really be just what
these kids need," said Tom Riley, owner and operator of the Center. "We've
been praying for weeks that this will go well," said Connie Kendall, a staff
member.
Jason Whittaker is scheduled to speak during the closing rally. "I'm really
looking forward to it," says Jason. "Ministering to kids and teens has been
one of my favorite parts of being a missionary and now I get to do it here
at home."
